Vasco Inc. is a New Bedford general contractor built around whole-project remodels — additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and full room rebuilds — the kind of work homeowners describe finishing with the house looking different, not just patched. Nine Google reviews since 2022 tell largely the same story: Marcos Vasconcelos and his crew show up, do the finish work carefully, and communicate along the way. The specifics carry the weight. In a January 2026 review, a homeowner described Vasco stepping in after a fire damaged a three-family building and transforming it — dependable and transparent through the whole renovation. In a 2024 review, another customer walked through remodeling a walk-in shower in a house over 100 years old, praising the crew for custom-fitting an uneven, century-old space. A 2023 review described a major water leak repaired cleanly through the Christmas holidays, with the homeowner specifically noting how little mess was left behind. Other reviews cite a front-door and entryway remodel, a back deck, and a run of bathroom, kitchen, and ceiling work going back to 2022 — the same names, Marcos and "the team", come up across nearly every account. There's one clear exception. A November 2022 review describes the company taking a deposit, doing some work, then never returning and never refunding the balance. It's a serious, specific complaint, and it stands alone against the run of detailed praise around it — worth asking about directly, along with getting a written contract and payment schedule before any deposit changes hands. Vasco Inc. says on its own site that it has held a perfect customer rating since May 2017 and that Marcos Vasconcelos has close to a decade of construction experience; it lists Fall River, New Bedford, Freetown, and the surrounding South Coast towns as its service area — the company's own account of its history, not something verified independently. For a homeowner planning a real renovation — an addition, a full bath, work in an older house that needs custom framing — this is a crew whose reviews describe finished, detailed work. Given the one unresolved complaint on record, confirm the payment schedule and get commitments in writing before the project starts.

After a fire damaged our three-family building, Marcos and his team stepped in and completely transformed it. They were dependable, transparent, and delivered high-quality work throughout the entire renovation. They exceeded expectations and made a difficult situation much easier. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing construction work done right.
Marcos was always quick to respond & extremely professional. Already planning future projects together & can’t wait to get started.
Couldn’t be happier choosing Marcos and his team to complete the remodel of our entryway and replacement of our front door. They were thorough, clean and punctual. Would recommend to all.
Marcos and his team have done a great job on multiple projects at my home. From door replacement to a beautifully crafted back deck! I couldn't recommend them more!
Just want to say how happy we are with the remodel of our walk in shower by Vasco Inc. Marc and his employees were professional, clear about the process, and did a beautiful job. Our home is over 100 years old so our space was very uneven, we needed everything to be custom and a team as talented as Vasco Inc. to make it look amazing. Would hire them again!
