In a 2025 Google review, a customer on their fourth job with Veteran Contractors described a bathroom done with total demolition and new everything: a tile shower, lights, floor and a between-the-studs cabinet. That 2025 customer said Lewis made the shower area bigger by moving the main stack into the wall and added a window. The same 2025 customer said he also repaired a small leak from the siding and fixed a creaking spot on the floor along the way. A 2022 Google customer said their garage was extended to add a bathroom, mudroom and pantry, with Lewis coordinating the plumbers, electricians, foundation work and the town. That 2022 customer said the site was cleaned up every day, the job stayed on budget and, besides one plumbing issue, there were no surprises. A 2016 HomeAdvisor customer said Lou and his crew finished a basement after another company failed to show up, and did the work on time and on budget. A 2011 customer said owner Lewis Pizzarelli installed hardwood floors, custom-stained the stair treads to match them and re-created a custom fireplace from photos and drawings. A 2018 Angi customer said a porch was rebuilt with composite materials while keeping the look and feel of the original. A 2016 Angi customer who hired Mr. Pizzarelli in 2015 to remodel a kitchen and dining room said he lowered the kitchen ceiling so some cabinets no longer aligned. That 2016 customer said they fired him after learning he had done the electric, plumbing and gas work himself instead of bringing in the electrician, plumber and gas person he had promised, and that tiles he installed began cracking a few months later. That 2016 customer said they filed a claim with the Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board in 2015, and that the board's investigative report listed improper tile flooring and wall shelf installation.
This is our 4th time using Veteran’s Contractors, this time it was for a bathroom. Total demolition- new everything- tile shower, lights, floor, between-the-studs secret cabinet, and he was able to magically make our shower area bigger by moving the main stack into the wall. He added a window into our previously dark, cramped bathroom, and now it looks like a luxury spa. His knowledge and expertise are invaluable; everything is done properly. Along the way, he noticed a small leak from the siding that he repaired, and he also fixed a creaking spot on the floor. His tile work is impeccable, he also made creative suggestions for all the little things I didn’t think about (niche edges, shower curbs, window curbs, etc.) With Lewis, you are hiring a contractor and a designer. He responds immediately, and his craftsmanship and vision are superior. When little hiccups came up, Lewis thought about them creatively and always gave me options. My bathroom is more functional than ever, and I am so happy with the results. Again, we stayed on budget, his prices are competitive, and he is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend Lewis!
Simply the best! Our home addition completely surpassed our expectations. We extended our garage, adding a bathroom, mudroom, and pantry in what was the back of our existing garage. Lewis seamlessly coordinated with all the individuals that completed the rough work (plumbers, electricians, foundation, the town) in a remarkably timely and tidy manner. The work site was always clear, he cleaned up every day and throughout the process, we were never inconvenienced from using areas of our home. He is an excellent communicator. When an unexpected, but significant plumbing issue came up, he explained everything and gave us some options about how we wanted to solve it. Throughout the process, he was always responsive with a text or call. I texted many pictures of tile, grout, vanities, counters, etc. and he always responded immediately. I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted for the finish work, but Lewis was able to look at a collection of random Pinterest pictures, chat with me about how I wanted to use the space, and make something not only functional but beautiful. In addition to all his carpentry skills, he is a designer, adding finishing touches that work for my family. Additionally, we stayed on budget, and besides that plumbing issue, there were not any surprises. His prices are competitive, but his craftsmanship is exceptional. We highly recommend Veteran Contractors!
Lou explained exactly what needed to be done, and why he was doing things as the project went along, and the finished deck looks great.
