Vicon Design & Remodeling is a design-build outfit working out of Southborough, run by owner Vinnie Sarnosky. Its Houzz page lists home remodeling, additions, decks and full design services -- floor plans, 3D renderings, basement layouts -- and a 2011 Metrowest Daily News piece noted the company was then marking its 20th year in business, putting its start in the early 1990s. The five Houzz reviews on file, all from 2015 to 2017 and all five stars, describe a specific range of work: a full kitchen gut that required a new structural beam, a roof-collapse repair job, and a small addition and deck built off a back door. What keeps coming up across them is Sarnosky himself -- reviewers who used the company more than once call him quick to respond, generous with his time during design decisions, and someone who shows up when he says he will. Nothing about pricing or scheduling problems shows up in the written record, but there's nothing current either -- the newest review dates to January 2017. Houzz also lists an H.I.C. registration (#105486) and a construction supervisor licence (CS-054364), an EPA Lead-Safe Firm certification, and a Certified Remodeler credential, though these are the platform's own listings rather than a state verification; BuildZoom separately shows both numbers as inactive or expired, including a general contractor licence lapsed since 2016. For a homeowner considering a design-build addition, kitchen gut, or deck project, the reviews on file back up careful, hands-on work and a responsive owner -- worth confirming current licensing and availability directly before booking, since the written record is now close to a decade old.

“Vicon Design & Remodeling in Southborough is now celebrating its 20th year in business.”
We first hired Vicon to build a new space for our back door, and build a small deck! Vinnie was so honest and up front. He gave a great quote, and very extremely professional. He was on time and there when he said he would be. The finished product was exactly what we wanted and looks amazing!!! We hired him again to put in a new sump pump, well the day he was coming to install our basement started flooding!! Even tho he was not scheduled until the afternoon, he RUSHED right over to help Me! And that day my basement was free of water and new pump installed! He is hands down one of the best contractors I have dealt with and extremely Honest! As a first time home owner I appreciate his honesty and willingness to help! Highly recommend Vicon design!!
During this past winter my roof collapsed causing damage not only to the roof, but to the interior of my house. I hired Vicon Design and Remodeling to perform the work needed to repair everything that was damaged with my house. What impressed me the most was that everything could be repaired by one company. Vincent Sarnosky, the owner of Vicon Design and Remodeling, has been great throughout the whole process. He has kept me informed every step of the way as to exactly what was going to happen each and every day. His staff has also been great during the whole renovation. They were respectful of me and my property. Vincent has kept to the timeline that he gave for the work to be completed. Also, during this whole process Vicon has kept my home and the outside of my home clean as they have gone along day to day. I would hire Vicon Design and Remodeling again for anything that I needed done to my house.
We have used Vicon Design & Remodeling many times and have always had a great experience. Vinnie is extremely professional, trustworthy and friendly. He is always quick to respond to our request and completes the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him for any project, large or small.
We have worked with Vicon on several projects. The owner, Vinnie Sarnosky, is a great guy to work with. During the design phase he was generous with his time and never made us feel like we were taking too long to make decisions. On our deck project we went through several iterations of a design and were ready to move forward, only to completely change direction - and he was fine with that. He's worked with us to find ways to meet our budget, and has always completed our projects on budget. When it gets to the construction phase he makes use of his knowledge and experience to get the projects done according to plan. He knows the whole process, from permitting through final inspection. He has good design ideas, but seems equally comfortable working from an architect's plans. Our projects include removing walls to open up our kitchen-dining space, converting our basement into a family room, and building a two-tier deck that was part of a larger landscaping project. On our finished basement project Vinnie came up with some creative ways to maximize headroom, suggested larger windows to increase natural light, and made built-in shelves to provide extra storage space. On our deck project he built custom sliding doors (for access to storage space) that blend in with the apron so that they're not noticed. We're very pleased!
Vicon design did a kitchen remodel a complete gut out. Had to put a big support beam in attic.Vincent was very professional and timely. All the people he hired did their job in a timely manner which was great so we ran pretty much on schedule. Vincent was very helpful with all the decisions I had to make and for me that was so overwhelming. We love our kitchen so much!
