Viking Moving Services, Inc.

Viking Moving Services is a family-run mover out of Concord that's been in business since 1992, and what stands out reading through the reviews is how often the company shows up for the moment things go wrong elsewhere. One customer says Viking arrived within 45 minutes to rescue a move after U-Haul cancelled their reservation the morning of; another was moved out of their old place the same day they were released from the hospital. Taran, described as the owner in several reviews, is named repeatedly for walking customers through detailed, accurate estimates before the move. On moving day, the reviews describe crews who show up on time and work quickly — Eric, John, Derek, Will, Nick, Lewis, Mike and Kyle all come up by name across different jobs — and who come in at or under the estimated cost more often than not. Customers describe moves ranging across town to out of state, office relocations, and jobs using portable storage containers or short-term storage between two moves. One family whose move fell the day after a parent's death said the crew noticed their grief and adjusted their pace accordingly. Several customers have come back for more than one move, including one who has used Viking for three separate moves over the years. There isn't a specific complaint to flag here. It's still worth confirming your date well ahead of a busy moving season and getting any storage add-ons spelled out in the estimate, since that's standard practice with any mover. For a Massachusetts homeowner or renter planning a local, long-distance or storage move, Viking is worth calling — the same names keep showing up on repeat jobs, and the estimates people describe have consistently held or come in under budget.
