Vista Home Improvement is based in West Springfield and says it has served Upstate New York and New England for more than 17 years. Its work centers on roofing, with related windows, siding, gutters, doors, decks and bathroom remodeling; the company identifies Brian Rudd as owner in its Angi profile. Recent Google accounts frequently describe patient, low-pressure consultations, clear explanations and knowledgeable representatives. Homeowners also describe completed roof, siding, window and door work, including crews that worked efficiently and cleaned up; a May 2026 review praised a steel basement-door installation, and an August 2026 review said siding, doors and windows were resolved after follow-up. The company holds an A+ BBB grade and BBB accreditation. The written record also includes specific cautions. A July 2025 Google review rated a consultation one star and described concerns about follow-up and the finished work; another recent review described an order and measurement problem that was later addressed. Older accounts describe delayed scheduling, installation defects, warranty or follow-through frustrations, and a 2025 review objected to a high gutter quote and pressure to sign immediately. These accounts are dated and should be discussed when confirming scope, measurements, timeline, pricing and warranty responsibility. Vista may suit homeowners seeking a bundled exterior project and a single point of contact for roofing, siding, windows and gutters. Before signing, ask for the exact materials and measurements, installation schedule, cleanup and punch-list process, and written warranty terms.
Sat with Mike M. & went over everything to do with getting my roof replaced. He was polite, professional and very easy to talk with!!!
Returning customer and beyond grateful for the thorough knowledge and customer care from Mike M.
Meet with Mike M, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Didn’t plan on buying tonight, but ended up doing so. Looking forward to our new roof. This is our 2nd. project with Vista.
Mike was not high pressure and he made it really comfortable to talk to.
I wrote a lot more before the below info but apparently I wrote way too much and had to cut it out. Long story short, trust your gut. The consultation was on Monday July 6th and by the end of the week everything was set up and ready for the next step, the actual job. In my agreement and original discussion with the sales guy the project was scoped for the end of August with an actual date of 8/31 and a later date of 9/2 for any unforeseen circumstances. I received my first communication from the project manager on July 16th just reaching out to confirm materials and some other things discussed during the consultation. He mentioned trying to get the project scheduled for the following week, which was a month and a half earlier than what the agreement said. I did not inquire about the earlier time frame as all of our communication was through text and I thought maybe perhaps he meant just getting things set up to schedule. I did not hear back from the same project manager until Friday July 31st where he casually dropped that they would like to do the job the next week. I could have pushed back and said that was way earlier than scoped but when it rains inside your house you’d rather it done sooner than later. So I said yes, even though this caused me to have to take unscheduled time off of work and caused even more headaches down the line. Fast forward to the date of the project. Wednesday August 5. The materials for the project were delivered the night before but the dumpster was no where to be seen. I assumed there would be a porta potty delivered considering the closest public restrooms are a 25 min drive from my house… I was wrong. The crew of obvious subcontractors pulled up in an unmarked van. I would have had no issue with this if anyone else from Vista made an appearance during the job, but that never happened. (Even the sales guy said he’d make an appearance during construction) They wanted to get to work immediately but I stopped them needing confirmation of the dumpster before they proceeded. They got confirmation that it would arrive by noon so I let them get to work. They were very quick and efficient. The dumpster arrived at 3pm and the crew finished the entire job and left my house by 6pm. Reminder these guys were on site for 11 hours without a porta potty which means my property was most certainly used as a bathroom by five guys throughout the day. YUCK! The next morning I started receiving texts from Vista instruction me to finalize the loan for the completed job. I asked about the dumpster and if they knew when it would be removed and I received texts from both the loan guy and the project manager that it would be removed within 24 hours. I hesitated to approve the loan because in my eyes having a dumpster in my driveway blocking my vehicle in was not a complete project. On Friday afternoon almost 48 hours after the project completion I asked again about the dumpster. I expressed that I could not have this in my driveway as I was expecting guests over the weekend and that my vehicle was stuck behind it. I also asked for the work permits considering no one from Vista even showed up to the project and I was being bugged to approve this loan. I was told the dumpster company was trying hard to get out to my house and that I would receive a copy of the permits on Monday. It’s currently 4:30 on Monday. There’s still a dumpster in my driveway. The Picnic that was scheduled at my house this weekend was ruined because of this dumpster. I haven’t had access to MY VEHICLE FOR SIX DAYS! And I was just told an hour ago after inquiring yet again about the dumpster and the permits that the dumpster will be removed tonight and that he submitted for the permits to be sent to me. All in all I feel used and completely taken by Vista. I take some responsibility for for not trusting my gut and cancelling when I originally asked for my deposit back.I could have received the same roof/same quality from many other businesses in this area for a lot less money and hassle but like a sucker I stuck with Vista. Don’t be a sucker.
