WAVE Inspection Services is the kind of inspector buyers call when they want the inspection to slow the deal down long enough to see what is really there. Recent Google reviewers repeatedly describe John as thorough, early, and clear about defects; the company says it serves eastern and central Massachusetts from its Cape Cod base, including New Bedford, Fall River, Plymouth, and Marshfield. The strongest through-line is attention to detail. A July 2026 homeowner said John spent four and a half hours on site, used drone photos, explained the home's defects room by room, and delivered the report the next day. Other 2026 reviews mention identifying important deficiencies, explaining possible solutions, and communicating findings clearly. Google shows 18 five-star ratings, and older reviews add a longer track record: a June 2023 customer said they had used WAVE for more than 15 years and found it responsive and accurate. The website says single-family inspections include a drone roof survey and a wood-destroying-insect report, while thermal imaging, radon monitoring or canister testing, water-quality and water-quantity testing, and property-record checks are available across the inspection offering. That gives buyers several ways to bundle due diligence, but it is worth confirming which inclusions apply to the property type, especially because the site describes some services as additional. The BBB profile identifies the business in Worcester but says it is not accredited and is not rated because BBB lacks enough information; it shows no complaints or government actions. The right fit is a buyer who values a detailed walkthrough and a photo-backed report. Before booking, confirm the inspection scope, testing add-ons, turnaround, and which service-area list currently applies: the website has published both a Cape Cod/Boston-area list and a shorter list including New Bedford, Fall River, Plymouth, and Marshfield.
John is the best. He is so thorough. Anything that could be a concern he will find. And he is the least expensive inspector and the best!!
John was very professional. He arrived early to take drone photos of the home. Then we went over every room in detail after inspecting in. He communicated all of the home's many defects and spent a total of 4 1/2 hours, not even stopping for lunch. His report was timely and arrived the next day.
John did an excellent job uncovering some very important deficiencies during the home inspection. If you want a thorough, competent and professional home inspection, contact John at WAVE. You’ll be glad you did, like we are!
I am impressed by the high level of professionalism and attention to detail from John. He proceeded like what he is, an absolute Pro. I absolutely recommend him!
John arrived earlier than scheduled and began the home inspection promptly. Throughout the process, he was very thorough and detail-oriented, carefully identifying any issues and taking the time to explain them along with possible solutions. Communication was smooth and clear from start to finish. I would definitely hire him again for future home inspections.
