A month after moving into a newly updated house, a homeowner found bats flying through it — that June 2025 call is the kind of job Wildlife Extractors gets. The company says it has worked in wildlife removal and exclusion since 2004, family owned and operated, with general manager Mark Hedlund bringing a decade of wildlife work and 13 years of carpentry to it. Its site gives Bridgewater as the base, lists a South Shore service area running from Abington and Brockton out to Hingham, Kingston and Marshfield, and covers Rhode Island too, along with repairs to attics the animals damaged. In April 2026 a homeowner called, gave Jen the details, and Mark was out the next day for a free inspection and walked through the process in detail. A family who heard something in the attic one night in October 2025 called the following day; Mark and Pete came first thing the next morning and went up on ladders. An August 2026 customer named Mark, Jen and the team and said the problem was handled quickly. In a 2024 review, a homeowner sure a chipmunk was chewing inside a wall said the crew listened inside and out and told them it was not an animal at all. A 2018 customer with a house full of bats said another company had quoted $6,000 and this one charged a fraction of that; a second 2018 customer, handed a quote that felt high, was told to go collect other estimates and reported back that the company had called it right. In 2019 someone with an animal in the garage said the crew arrived at 7:30 the next morning as promised, found no sign the squirrel had stayed, and left without billing. The complaints are about money and manner. A January 2026 reviewer gave one star and described prompt people with an abrasive communication style, quotes that kept moving, and pressure to pay before a firm number existed, ending with the crew coming back to pull the one trap they had set. A February 2024 caller with an animal in the chimney also left one star. A 2017 groundhog job drew half a star: two traps, a raccoon caught instead, and the daily baiting left to the customer. In 2016 a homeowner paid $495 for deflectors against roosting woodpeckers, was told wildlife work would not be warrantied, and said one deflector came off shortly after — while a January 2018 reviewer said the company guaranteed its work. Two 2018 customers called the price high, one adding it was still competitive with the other bids. For bats, birds or something in a South Shore attic, this is a shop that does that one trade, and the April 2026 caller had someone at the house the next day. Take the free inspection, but get the price and the scope in writing before a trap goes in, and ask what happens — and what it costs — if the animal comes back or a repair fails.
