When a competitor turned down a toilet-removal job, Willard's picked up the phone, said an hour, and showed up in an hour — the kind of specific, no-fuss responsiveness that shows up again and again in Willard's write-ups. The Quincy-based hauler is essentially a one-man operation built around its owner, Mike, who personally returns calls, gives estimates, and runs the crew on pickup day; his name appears in nearly every review on file. The jobs run the range of a small residential hauler: furniture and bedroom sets, mattresses ahead of a move, a garage cleared out in under 20 minutes, rock and construction debris from a tight yard, and a full cleanout of a house mid-sale. One customer, a disabled renter without a vehicle, relies on Willard's for legally disposing of old electronics and says Mike's team coordinates smoothly with building management. Another reviewer, who does downsizing work professionally, has sent Mike jobs "large and small" and calls him reliable. Pricing comes up unprompted and consistently as fair — in one case, Mike lowered the quote after the job turned out smaller than expected. There's no negative signal in the record to weigh against any of that — the write-ups span 2021 through this summer without a single complaint. The tradeoff of a small, personal operation is scale: this reads like a business built on one person's reputation, worth keeping in mind for a job on a tight timeline. For furniture, appliance, and debris hauling in the Quincy area, Willard's is a straightforward, well-reviewed call.
I called Willard's Disposal Services on Thursday and left a message. Mike promptly returned my call and let me know he could come by Saturday morning to provide an estimate. He arrived exactly when he said he would and was kind, professional, and courteous throughout the entire interaction. I had received several outrageously expensive quotes to remove a queen bedroom set from my townhouse, but Mike's estimate was fair and very reasonable. We scheduled a pickup date, and everything was set. A couple of days later, someone I knew unexpectedly needed the bedroom set and came to pick it up. I called Mike to cancel, feeling terrible for the inconvenience, but he couldn't have been more gracious and understanding. He was genuinely happy that the furniture was able to be repurposed rather than discarded. Although I ultimately didn't need his services, I was so impressed by the way he runs his business that I wouldn't hesitate to hire him in a heartbeat. Honest, reliable, professional, and genuinely kind. It's refreshing to come across a company that treats people with such respect.
Mike and crew helped me with a couple of jobs for a price I felt was fair. I am disabled and don’t have a vehicle, so I depend on services like theirs to legally dispose of my old computer monitors, etc. They are very friendly and accommodating folks. They worked well with my building management too. This place gives a good name to small businesses. Highly recommend.
Used them twice in the past four years for couch removal. Will be using for bedroom furniture in the near future. Got the couches out in NO TIME. Love using the service, just call for a pickup and they’ll confirm. Day of pickup the item is out in mere minutes. Great prices and a service that makes my life easier.
Super responsive, very fair pricing and professional, friendly service. Called as promised, arrived on time, Mike and his team worked quickly and did a terrific job. I highly recommend and will use Willard’s Disposal Services again.
Quick response and very fair prices. Job completed promptly and a very satisfied customer. Would highly recommend!
