Ninety-one reviews in the last six months, and customers keep writing the same kind of sentence: the technician's name. Cameron, AJ, Dylan, Jeremy, Matthew, Ryan, Ian, Connor, Brody, Evan — Wilson Brothers' Google file reads like a roster, which at 1,385 ratings and a 4.9 average is unusual. The Pepperell company handles heating and cooling from tune-ups to full system swaps, plus the plumbing that sits next to them. Recent accounts describe a two-day HVAC installation done by two technicians who explained as they went and cleaned up after; a mini-split job in May 2026 where the crew placed the heads where the homeowner asked, worked quietly, and walked them through the controls; and a boiler installation in May 2026 whose installers stayed late two nights to hit the deadline, at a price the customer called fair. In June 2026 a homeowner had an electric tank water heater installed after collecting three estimates and said Wilson's landed in the middle. The most telling review is a diagnostic one. In August 2026 a customer who had been told by another company they needed a new furnace had Wilson look at it; the technician said it was unnecessary and the furnace likely had years left. On the same visit he noticed melted plastic on a recently installed water heater, tested it, found it had not been done right, flagged it as a carbon monoxide risk with a five-month-old in the house, and came back to inspect after the other company fixed it. Speed shows up too: a Sunday morning dryer vent replacement in April 2026, and a same-day call-out for a failed pressure relief valve with water on a basement floor. Two things to know. First, the credential: the Massachusetts registry shows this company's HVAC licence, number 745-SM-B and held under Wilson Brothers HVAC Inc, as EXPIRED. That is a real fact about a trade that requires registration, and it is worth asking about directly. Second, the recent complaints are not about the work but about how the company reaches people. A June 2026 caller described the phone line answering as an AI that imitates a real person, complete with simulated call-centre noise, booking a Friday 2–4pm window that nobody kept; another the same month wrote only that the marketing calls are relentless. For furnace, AC, heat pump and mini-split work in the Nashoba Valley and southern New Hampshire, this is a deep and consistent record with a lot of repeat customers. Ask for a technician by name if you liked one, get the registration status confirmed before you commit to an installation, and if you would rather not talk to an automated booking line, ask for a human when you call.
“Wilson Bros did great work installing our system.”
“I just had them replace my hot water boiler and hot water tank, plus rip out and replace the baseboards...”
“Guys showed up on time, were friendly and informative. They explained everything as it was going on and were patient with a curious homeowner!”
Great job. Super nice guys
Prompt, courteous and professional. Also great communication of future needs
Had Wilson come to my house after being told we needed a new furnace by another company. He looked at it, told us that wasn’t necessary and our furnace likely had years left on it. Tom noticed my water heater had melted plastic on it while in my basement and I had told him we had just had it done. He wanted to test it to make sure it was done right, which it wasn’t. I have an 5 month at home and he said it was a big CO2 risk and to have the company come back and fix it asap. After the company came and fixed the issue, Tom came back to my house to inspect it and make sure it was done correctly. When leaving, I asked how much to write a check for, for helping my family, and he said nothing, he was just happy we were safe. After this experience and seeing how much Tom and Wilson care for their customers, all of my future HVAC needs will be going through Wilson.
We had an excellent experience with Connor Cote and the team that installed our new HVAC system. From the initial arrival to the final walkthrough, everyone was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They arrived on time, explained the installation process clearly, and took great care to protect our home while they worked. Thank you for doing a wonderful job!
