Woke up to no heat on New Years Eve? In a 2022 review, a first-time customer said exactly that happened, and Wittig Mechanical made time the same day and fixed the problem at a price the customer called reasonable. That 2022 customer said Will performed the service. The company's website lists heating and cooling installation and replacement, service agreements, plumbing, drain and sewer repair and electrical services, with a stated service area that includes Ellington, Vernon, Enfield and South Windsor. In a 2020 BuildZoom review, a customer said Dave Wittig and three of his employees installed a boiler system in their house, and that two other bids had been much higher. A 2025 customer said American Home Solutions had quoted over twice as much for an installation, and that Wittig gave them a deal with no haggling. A 2025 customer doing a substantial addition to their home in Simsbury, which added 3 bathrooms and a conversion from oil to propane, said Chandler and Matt had been easy to work with since the start and the team was always on time. On Google it holds 2.6 stars from 15 ratings. A 2023 customer who hired the company for ductless mini-split systems and a walk-in shower said the project started weeks late, workers showed up late or not at all, and the owner had to come back and redo the shower install. That 2023 customer also said smaller mini-split units were installed than the ones quoted, and that weeks later they were still waiting on rebate forms and had to threaten legal action. In a 2026 review, a customer whose heat pump system Wittig Mechanical had installed at their Massachusetts house said that two years later the system had issues, and David set dates without showing up and stopped answering the phone. That 2026 customer said they had been very satisfied with the installation work at the time and had paid over $30 thousand. Its Connecticut HVAC licence, HTG.0405273-S1, held by WITTIG MECHANICAL LLC, is active on the state registry.
Update: 2 years later I’m having issues with the system. I reached out to David several times in different occasions, in the middle of busy season also in the winter, he sets a date and doesn’t show up nor gives any update. Left a few messages via phone and via text messages. I paid over $30 thousand dollars at the time and the after asking me over the phone, is that Mitsubishi? I said Yes. He never answered the phone again or returned… unfortunately I paid a lot of money and no guarantees. Not even to come and see what is happening. Bad customer service. Too bad because I was very satisfied with his work at installation and left him a glowing review at the time. From mid/2023: I used Wittig Mechanical to install a brand new heat pump system to my house located in Massachusetts. David was very professional, kind and patient dealing with the Mass Save program, so I could take advantage of their 0% interest financing and also to get the rebates. His work was very neat and took in consideration all my future plans to renovate my basement. All the ducked work was done thinking of that. I’m very happy with the results and I’d highly recommend his services too. Thanks David and Wittig team.
There are better mechanical businesses in the CT MA areas. Hard earned money is terrible to waste.
excellent service
We had been using technicians from American Home Solutions. They quoted us over twice as much for installation. Witting hvac was recommended by a friend and gave us a great deal with no haggling. I would give 6 stars if I could.
Chandler and Matt have been exceptional to work with since the beginning of our renovation project. We have been doing a substantial addition to our home in Simsbury. We’ve added 3 bathrooms, converted from oil to propane and needed some additional items checked before inspections. Wittig Mechanical and their entire team was always on time, knowledge, fast, reliable and easy to work with from day one. From an extensive job to a quick service call they will always be my first option. Great work and I can’t thank them enough.
