A June 2026 customer described paying more than $20,000 for a Mitsubishi AC installation and facing repeat cooling failures. The reviewer said Bill and his crew installed it in November, later repaired a failed compressor, and the system stopped keeping the house cool a week afterward. Mitsubishi had evaluated it, but the customer said three weeks had passed without a fix. They accused Ryan of no longer answering calls while acknowledging that Bill seemed to be trying to resolve the problem. Foremost Mechanical Services advertises heating, cooling, HVAC maintenance and ductwork services around Hartford and nearby northeastern Connecticut towns. The company reports 13 years in business and offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Its Connecticut HVAC licence was active when checked on October 30, 2026. Google shows 4.6 stars from 28 ratings. Other complaints concern warranty advice and follow-up. In January 2024, a customer said Foremost proposed replacing the whole furnace rather than a broken part, disputed its statement that the part was out of warranty and said another company was replacing the furnace under warranty. An October 2023 reviewer credited Bill with responding and fixing the technical problem, but called the service expensive and said requests for an invoice and service details had gone unanswered for two months. A March 2025 customer described separate furnace and water-heater replacements over the preceding three months, after losing heat in winter and finding a water leak. The customer said Bill responded almost immediately despite their being new customers. In February 2025, a different customer said Foremost replaced a furnace and AC within a couple of days after an AC failure the previous summer. That reviewer also described patient troubleshooting of a later humidifier concern, which proved to be an environmental issue rather than a humidifier fault. An October 2024 heat-pump customer said installation stayed on budget and the technicians coordinated with the renovation contractor. An August 2025 customer praised communication through unexpected complications in a house more than a century old and said the job was completed correctly.
Where do I even start. Ryan sold me a unit that is faulty and will not answer my calls anymore. Bill and his crew installed a Mitsubishi ac unit in November . Fast forward to hot months my new ac compressor crapped out. He came back and fixed it. One week after my system will not keep my house cold. Mitsubishi came here to evaluate the system, 3 weeks now nothing is being fixed to my unit. My house feels like a sauna when I paid over 20k for this install. Bill seems like he’s trying to resolve this but I am running out of patience. Will edit my review if something gets done quick. I want a new unit. This is unacceptable at this point , you guys took my money and nothing is being done . There is no reason why my house is 70 degrees and won’t stay cold.
I would highly recommend them! Their price was less than half of another quote I got for the same job and they did excellent work! So pleasant to work with and great communication. My job had some unexpected road blocks but they kept me really informed every step of the way and got it done right. They can’t control what they will find working in a 100+ year old house but the way they handled those complications was so professional and awesome! 10/10
Great company to work with, communication is excellent, employees shows up on time and always courteous with my customers. Will be using them again on our new projects - John - Gannon Enterprises LLC - Home Builder & Masonry Restoration Company
Bill and his company are the best. Sadly I have had to call him for a furnace and water heater replacement over the last 3 months. Both times were semi emergency (no heat in winter and water starting to leak on the floor). Bill answered me almost immediately and we are new to the area not existing customers. The guy does customer service like it is 1950 not 2025. The workers are professional, polite, clean and friendly. I have left them in my home alone twice without hesitation. If you are in a jam this is a quality company to call.
They did a wonderful job when my AC died in one of the hottest weeks of last summer. They were able to replace my old furnace and AC within a couple days. I also had them install a humidifier, which I was having some troubles with a few weeks ago. In the end it turned out to be a problem with my environment, and not the fault of the humidifier, but they were patient and persistent with my concerns. Great customer service! They also did not make me feel like a dope when they explained what was going on.
