Fifteen of the seventeen people who have written about Wonderwall Painting since 2022 name the same painter: Fred. The company works out of Read Street in Somerset, its 44 Google ratings average 5.0, and it says it covers southeastern Massachusetts and eastern Rhode Island — Swansea, Fall River, Taunton and New Bedford on one side, Providence, Cranston, Warwick, Pawtucket and Newport on the other. The jobs customers describe run well past rolling walls. In July 2026 a homeowner had the wallpaper stripped from an entryway and the space painted. A June 2026 customer had shutters repainted and summed it up as "Drab to Fab, baby," adding that the crew was friendly and took care of the property. That same month, a Somerset homeowner who had talked to Fred about the algae collecting on the north-facing back of a three-story house and on a glass sunroom roof wrote that a crew came out to power wash. Color choice is the other thing that keeps coming up — four reviewers between 2022 and 2026 credit his suggestions. One in June 2026 loved the color he picked and had him do a wallpapered accent wall too. A June 2025 homeowner called him patient through "the daunting task of choosing colors" on a job that covered painting and repairing the exterior of a 125-year-old house, at prices they called reasonable for the quality of work. People keep rehiring him. In an April 2025 review a customer counted two bedrooms and a bathroom from a previous visit and an entryway hallway and another bedroom that same week, trim included. A 2022 reviewer had three separate paint jobs done; another wrote that once one project finished, they came up with others just to get him back, and the neighbors started hiring him as well. Four of the 2022 reviews single out the cleanup — neat as a pin, not a drop of paint out of place, the house left clean. Two practical things before you call. Angi and HomeAdvisor both list free estimates and an Approved-Pro badge, and both state that no warranties and no emergency service are offered, so settle touch-ups and scope in writing. And the power washing, wallpaper removal and trim work all show up in what customers actually hired for, so name your real job when you ask for the quote. For interior rooms, trim and full exteriors around Somerset and across the Rhode Island line, this is a painting outfit whose customers keep handing it the next room. Confirm the schedule and exactly what the quote covers before the ladders go up.
To quote my husband, Fred "sure knows how to run a business." He is incredibly friendly, detail-oriented, and truly committed to delivering excellent service. He and his team did an amazing job removing the wallpaper in our entryway, painting the space, and restoring our concrete porch at a very reasonable price. We were impressed with the quality of their work and professionalism from start to finish. We will definitely be calling them again for future projects!
Wonderwall Painting also does Power washing! My Somerset home is south facing. The back of my home is 3 stories North facing. I had spoken to Fred about the Algae that collects on the back of my home and on the roof of my Glass Sunroom. He sent his crew by and they were set up and working in no time! A couple of hours later the back of my home is gleaming! Great Job!
I asked Fred for a quote on work that I had purposely neglected due to a horrific experience I had with a window contractor that was the furthest thing that I considered renewing. Bright pine trim was replaced after the new windows were installed, but I was in such a state afterwards I neglected them for a couple of years. In addition, the master bedroom walk-in closets had been damaged due to ice damming, and the entire project wasn't particularly complicated, it was particularly irksome. So this was the job to which I hired Fred and his crew. Despite my wooden boat inclinations, and my lifelong quest for perfectly varnished everything, first and foremost I wanted the work done so I wouldn't have to do it. Fred and his crew arrived timely, protected everything that needed protecting--whether through masking or draping with drop clothes--and the result was amazing. The brightwork in the den and master bedroom was flawless. The masking and paintwork in the closets was equally flawless. I could have probably done a comparable job expending three times the effort and taking four times as long! I am glad that I entrusted the work to Fred and his team. The work is incredibly beautiful, and it was done quickly and professionally. If you want to see what Fred and his team can do to transform and beautify your home, ask him to show you what he did for mine!
Fred and his team repainted my shutters. Made a world of a difference. Crew was friendly and professional and took great care of my property in the process. Would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone! Drab to Fab, baby. (He did not paint the grass😂)
Fred is great! Highly recommend. Loved the paint color he suggested. He even helped with a wallpapered accent wall. I look forward to working with him again.
