WR Builders shows up across eight review platforms with almost the same number every time: close to five stars, from Google's 4.8 out of 62 ratings to a 5.0 across both Houzz and Angi. The Newton, MA design-build firm is run by its founders, Wilson and Olga Ramiro Ban, who the company says bring over 15 years of experience building and remodeling homes; it lists Newton, Arlington, Belmont, Natick, Sudbury, Waltham, and Watertown as its service area, and its work runs from new home construction and additions to kitchen and bathroom renovations. The most recent review, posted this month, describes a kitchen-and-bathroom renovation where Wilson and his crew worked efficiently, kept the job site clean, and treated the home with respect. That tracks with the shape of the broader record: 73 reviews stretching back to 2022 across Google, Angi, Houzz, and other sites, nearly all five stars, and several of the older ones name the same two project managers, Pavlo and Kiryl, as the ones who actually ran the job, with at least one client returning for a second major renovation. Two things are worth asking about directly. The Houzz profile, despite its 5.0 rating and a Houzz Award, is currently listed as suspended, so any credentials shown there are worth confirming separately. On Angi, a number of the reviews read like near-duplicates of each other, worded almost identically — worth keeping in mind alongside its 88-review, 5.0-star count there. Sources also don't agree on how long the company has been around: BBB lists 11 years in business, the company's own site says 15-plus, and Angi lists 19 — not a red flag by itself, but worth a direct question. WR Builders reads like an outfit built for a substantial kitchen, bath, or whole-home renovation rather than a quick repair. Its Massachusetts home-improvement-contractor license is active, its BBB profile is A+ and accredited with those 11 years listed, and it's a member of the Newton Chamber of Commerce. Before signing anything, it's worth asking exactly who — Wilson himself or one of the named project managers — will be running the job day to day.

We worked with Pavlo as our project manager, and he was fantastic. This was my second major project working with WR Builders. WR Builders put on a new roof, new front and back stairs, front and back doors, and new paint. The price and timing were very reasonable considering the massive amount of work that was done by carpenters, painters, roofers, etc. I highly recommend Pavlo as a project manager, as well as Wilson and WR Builders for home renovation and construction! Edit- I added the before and after photos, it’s a staggering transformation. I will also say they did a great job working with Somerville, which is a notoriously difficult city to work with.

My apartment experienced significant water damage in early December, and I contacted WR Builders for an estimate. Their inspector was quick to respond, thoroughly assessing the damage and preparing a detailed invoice for my insurance company. My project manager, Kiryl, was incredible—he handled all the logistics with my property management and kept the project running smoothly. I never had to supervise, the team worked independently and did a great job. The entire team was professional and did an excellent job. I am extremely pleased with the results and the hassle-free process.
