Christopher took an awkward corner of a kitchen and turned it into a refrigerator nook with shelving built around it. The homeowner who hired him for that, writing in December 2025, gave him ten out of five stars. That is the size of work Housewright Construction keeps turning up in: the built-in that has to fit exactly, the porch rebuilt so the new stain matches what was already there. The company calls itself a Boston-area construction firm doing remodeling, additions and custom millwork, and two names run through its reviews: Christopher and Jeff. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry, and its Google rating is a 5.0 across six ratings. Customers describe careful finish work and a site left clean. In March 2026 a homeowner wrote that the rebuilding of their front porch was done with particular care matching new stain to existing, and that the smaller jobs went the same way. In April 2026 another had custom closet shelving handled end to end, materials through painting and cleanup, at a fee they called very reasonable and finished on budget. A May 2026 customer said the space came back cleaner than it was found. In January 2026 a couple had their guest bathroom done by Jeff and Chris while material deliveries ran late and they were away; the house stayed immaculate, and the two came back with improvements the owners had not thought of. The longest view belongs to a customer writing in September 2025 who had worked with Jeff for close to ten years across room additions, bathroom remodeling, porch construction and structural repairs, and said he handled projects soup to nuts and pushed back usefully on their own ideas. Before you call, two things are worth settling. The written history behind that 5.0 is six reviews gathered across 2025 and 2026, and the jobs in them run from a closet build-out to an addition, so ask whether Chris or Jeff would run yours. And put material lead times into the schedule in writing, since one 2026 bathroom waited on deliveries. For remodeling, a porch, or built-in millwork around Boston where the fit and the finish are the whole point, Housewright is a strong call. Ask for a fixed quote and a written materials schedule before the first day on site.
Highly recommend HouseWright Construction! Christopher was easy to work with, did quality work and left our space cleaner than how he found it.
Chris did an amazing job installing custom shelving in our closet. He took care of everything: materials, installation, painting and cleanup. He quoted us a very reasonable fee and got the work done quickly and on budget.
Christopher has been an ideal contractor: fine work, clear communication, fair pricing, friendliness itself. The rebuilding of our front porch was done with particular care when it came to matching new to existing stain. We're also pleased with his smaller projects; a favorite bed, which has buckled and squeaked for decades, is now sturdy and noiseless. Highly recommended.
Jeff and Chris did a wonderful job on our guest bathroom. They were totally accommodating to our schedule despite delays with the arrival of materials and our going away. The house was immaculate. They came up with great suggestions for improvements we hadn’t thought of. We highly recommend them and intend to use them again ourselves!
Christopher did incredible work transforming an awkward space in our kitchen into a very practical and beautiful refrigerator nook with added shelving. His efficiency and attention to detail were superlative. Ten out of five stars.
