XRPlumbing-Heating & Contracting LLC is a plumbing and heating business, and a recent Google reviewer says John and his team removed an old hot water heater and installed a new one without leaving a piece of cardboard or debris behind. That customer says John explained the ins and outs of the new tank and how to adjust it.
A recent customer says John and Dan completed a second-floor project: the old wall-to-wall carpet and pad came out, the subfloors were corrected and finished with engineered wood, the primary bath's linoleum was replaced with porcelain tile, and three six-panel wood doors were replaced in a bedroom. A recent reviewer says the company replaced trim on their garage and mentions low prices.
A 2024 customer wrote that a hot water tank let go in the middle of winter, Johnny picked up the phone at 6 in the morning, and a new tank was installed less than an hour after he arrived several hours later. A 2025 customer said John diagnosed and fixed their boiler after two other plumbing companies weren't able to help. In a 2023 review, a customer said John found that a new natural gas stove heater meant upsizing the main gas pipe, completed the job within a day, scheduled the inspection and showed up for it. A 2022 customer said it took almost two years to find anyone to replace 40-year-old solar panels for hot water, and that John and Adam knew exactly what to do. A 2024 customer said John's rates were very reasonable compared to the larger companies.
A 2025 Google reviewer who hired John to redo the heating system in an apartment they own gave one star. That 2025 reviewer said the quote was a little on the high side and that John does good work but charges way too much. The same 2025 reviewer wrote that John got loud when they would not pay the second installment on the day he dropped off boxes of radiators, and that the radiators were installed six inches off the ground while the tenant said her room was still cold. In that 2025 review, the customer said John called twice and texted about leaving a good review after the job, which they found unprofessional. The 2025 reviewer also said John never gave a quote on a washer and dryer hookup and a sink, that a friend's invoice for a shower head was over $500, and that a call asking him to maintain five boilers got no call back.

XR Plumbing-Heating has been our ‘go to’ for years! Most recent adventure was a new hot water heater. John and his team did an excellent job with the removal and install - not a piece of cardboard or debris left behind. I swear my basement floor was cleaner after they left! John explained the ins and outs of the new tank, how to adjust if needed and of course to call with any issues. We have always felt that the work is priced appropriately and we have been very pleased with every project XR has done for us.
We can not be happier with the outcome of the project on the second floor of our home that John and Dan completed for us. The old wall to wall carpet and pad was removed, subfloors corrected and finished with an engineered wood floor. They also replaced the linoleum floor in the primary bath with a porcelain tile and three six panel wood doors were replaced in a bedroom. John and Dan are perfectionists and it is reflected in their work. They are prompt, communicate well, and keep their work areas very neat. We will definitely use: John Wilbur at
XRPlumbing-Heating&Contracting LLC for any future projects.
