Ger Ronan founded Yankee Home in Chicopee and is its president. The company now works out of four offices — Chicopee, Albany, Rocky Hill and Wrentham — fitting replacement baths and showers, windows, entry doors, roofing and siding. The finished work customers describe is mostly bathrooms. In July 2026 a homeowner had a tub and shower turned into a walk-in shower by Douglas and Philip, and said the project manager, Tom, was still helping weeks after the installation. In June, Larry and Mark arrived on time and prepped the floors for a customer who had remodeled several bathrooms herself and was sceptical about letting anyone else do one. That same month Greg replaced a toilet damaged during a walk-in shower install, same day, matching the brand and model. In February 2024 Roberto, Alex and Anthony did a tub-to-shower conversion a customer called positive from first contact to finish, and in August 2025 Clarence and Luke did the reverse for someone who wanted a bathtub back. Windows and doors are the other half of the business. A Reddit commenter in May 2026 had a 15-foot bay window replaced and said it came out great. In June 2024 Peter and Ben fitted two large windows, a kitchen window and a sliding door; in April 2025 a customer credited Tim with comparison numbers and a patient walk-through of which window style suited each opening. Many of the accounts are written after the in-home visit rather than after the work. A customer who met Dave Musante in August 2026 about a walk-in shower praised his ideas and his refusal to push; another in July said Matt's bay-window presentation won the job and promised to update once it was installed. Not everyone found the visit comfortable — a homeowner in April 2022 gave three stars, calling the presentation professional but very heavy on sales, process and company history, and exhausting to sit through. The sharper complaints are about being contacted. A person writing in February 2026 said the company called several times a day after being told it had the wrong number and that they had never had any work done. In October 2024 another said the person on the phone did not listen and sent texts after being asked not to. A customer in June 2026 reported nobody showing up to a scheduled appointment. The Better Business Bureau, which accredits the company at an A+ grade, carries one complaint on file. Away from the jobs, the company runs an annual makeover giveaway: a Chicopee woman won the $15,000 prize in April 2026, and a $7,500 sweepstakes went to another Chicopee resident in December 2023. A 2022 trade article described work at the home of one of its construction managers whose child had been paralysed in an accident, where the existing tub and shower no longer worked. For a tub-to-shower conversion, a replacement window or an entry door across western Massachusetts — a defined product job with an install crew and a project manager behind it — this is a strong call; ask how long the in-home appointment runs before you book it, and put in writing how you want to be contacted afterwards.
