A Sunday evening during a heatwave, an air conditioner down: in a 2018 Thumbtack review, a homeowner wrote that Ed of A&M Services came out within one hour of the post, fixed a blown capacitor ("compaciter" in the review) and recharged the refrigerant. Thumbtack shows 4.9 stars from 50 ratings for the Danvers HVAC business, and its written reviews there date from 2015 to 2020. Most of those accounts are about cooling. Another 2018 customer, a new homeowner, said Ed arrived an hour after their first chat during a heatwave and walked them through his troubleshooting process. In a 2015 review, a repeat customer wrote that Edward had their system, which was blowing air but not cooling, diagnosed and cooling again in under an hour. Heating shows up too. In a 2017 review, a customer whose rooms ran at completely different temperatures said Edward came after work hours for a free estimate, replaced radiator vents, cleaned the boiler and changed some broken parts, leaving each room controllable with the new vents. On its Thumbtack profile, the business describes itself as an HVAC technician well rounded in all areas of the mechanical world, not just an electrician, refrigeration tech or plumber.
