Platinum Plumbing, Heating & Drain Cleaning works out of Danvers, covering the North Shore from Beverly and Salem down through Malden, Medford and Woburn — the company describes itself as a residential plumbing, heating and air-conditioning repair and installation shop for homeowners in that stretch. The name that comes up again and again is Rob, whether the job is a clogged drain or a dead air conditioner. Recent Google reviews from August 2026 call him responsive to calls and texts and quick to get the work done at a fair price, and an Angi review from July 2026 credits him and his crew with getting a customer’s AC running again mid-summer, noting a furnace they installed 20 years earlier that has run trouble-free since. Earlier reviews describe the same pattern going back years: in 2021, a customer had Rob swap out kitchen and bathroom faucets, then called him back to replace a gas water heater, pleased with both the estimate and the turnaround; a 2020 review describes him arriving 30 minutes early to install a faucet with a lifetime warranty in about 20 minutes. One customer wrote in 2023 that they’d used Platinum for 20-plus years and consider Rob the only plumber they let into their house. Across Google (5★ from 14 ratings) and Angi (4.9★ from 94 ratings, 96% five-star), the written record runs 2020 through 2026 without a negative review on file. BBB lists the company at 16 years in business with an A+ grade, though it has not sought BBB accreditation and its BBB page carries no customer-review section or complaint count — that is a gap in what BBB publishes, not a mark against the company. The company’s own site lists a Massachusetts Master Plumbing license (#15194) and a Journeyman license (#26688), worth confirming directly since neither number has been checked against the state registry. For a straightforward plumbing or HVAC call on the North Shore — a leaky faucet, a water heater on its way out, an AC unit that will not start — this is a company with a long, consistently positive record and one person, Rob, doing the work himself. Confirm he is still taking the call personally and ask about current pricing before booking.
Rob is responsive to calls and texts, very knowledgeable, and a quick worker. He's my go to plumber.
Rob is a nice guy, very happy with the work at a fair price. Would highly recommend. Came out within a few days of initial calll
Rob and his crew at Platinum Plumbing were extremely responsive, and clearly made the extra effort to get my AC working again this summer! Over the years we have had several jobs with them / including a furnace 20 years ago, which has given us zero problems. I swear that Rob left my basement cleaner than when he got there! Each time we get a fair price and great communication. While my first choice is to not need a plumber at all, when I do need one, I am glad I can call Platinum!
Huge thanks to Rob from Platinum Plumbing for being able to squeeze in a service call same-day after I tried to self-install a new garbage disposal and mucked it all up. He was prompt, straight-forward, had everything he needed on the truck and had us fixed up in no time at all. Definitely would call again if needed and would recommend!
They were very thorough with what they did, great job!
