A. Cardillo & Sons Inc. is a family-owned Waltham construction and trucking company, founded in 1948 by Anthony "Red" Cardillo and still run by the family today. Its work centers on hauling sand, gravel and other aggregate materials, and in 2023 the Wakefield Department of Public Works hired the firm for a project. Reviewers who deal with its trucks and drivers on the road describe them as hard workers who keep things organized and informative about daily deliveries; several call the crew's aggregate drivers a model for the trade. That said, two written reviews raise real safety concerns: one from 2025 describes debris flying loose from a truck and chipping a windshield, and one from 2023 calls a driver's road behavior aggressive and reckless. Google's 4.5-star average headline sits above what those two specific accounts describe, so it's worth asking about truck maintenance and driver conduct before hiring.

Trucks are not secure, I called and left a voicemail, one of their trucks with a very easy plate to remember had pebbles coming out the back, I wasn’t able to get into the other lane and even with slowing down my windshield got struck 2 times, now I have a chip in it. I left a voicemail and no call back. Thanks for the cracked windshield. Please secure your trucks .
These guys are hard workers, they keep the place very organized, they always have all kind of materials and Mike always helps everyone with deliveries. I highly recommend
Love the Boston trucker and the Cardillos!!!
The person who drives the truck is very agressive. Driving wrecklessly through town. Very unprofessional and not safe!!
Boston trucker is how all aggregate drivers should be. Pride and quality great job.
