A M Installation, Inc. is a Revere general contractor run by Robert Catrone. BuildZoom counts 101 permitted projects from 2013 to 2024, mostly roofing, siding, and porch or deck repair, spread across several Massachusetts towns. Its written record is older, running 2013 to 2017, and all four reviews on file are one star. In a 2013 review, a homeowner said the company was hired to repair a roof but didn't disclose that it planned to bring in a third-party subcontractor. A separate 2013 review described porch stairs built with no foundation, leaning to one side, and handrails cut too short then patched by nailing on an extra piece of wood, with nails already working loose. A 2016 review said the company held a C- Better Business Bureau grade with no accreditation at the time and described phone dealings as rude and unprofessional; a 2017 review accused the business of dishonesty and said two neighbors chose a different contractor instead. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor license, #123807, is expired according to the state registry. Given the age and severity of these accounts and the expired license, get a written contract with a fixed scope, confirm current licensing and insurance directly, and ask upfront how any subcontracted work would be disclosed before hiring.

Can I give zero stars ? Way too long to type but run for the hills from this lying family. I'm so glad my 2 neighbors hired someone else.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!! As of Jan 20, 2016 they have a C- rating with the Better Business Bureau AND they are NOT accredited! That aside, in my personal dealing with them, they are extremely rude and unprofessional. They have given my wife a hard time by phone, to the point where she will not deal with them on her own. I've been calling for 2 weeks to get one lousy window replaced; part of their contract with us when we had 60+ windows installed was "10 FREE replacements for the life of the windows". Even when I called them about shoddy work, drafty windows and their inability to return calls, I STILL never heard back from anyone. My biggest regret , other than doing business with them, was that I paid them off as quick as I did. PASS THE WORD ALONG
Never hire AM Installation!!! This year I needed to get a new roof, with all new insulation, and hired AM Installations out of Revere, MA. AM Installations said I was hiring them to repair my roof. Did not tell me that they were going to hire out to a 3rd party; especially when speaking with Anthony - (the son of this family owned business) - many times before the work started that "he" will get everything done, and "they guarantee all work and will fix anything not done to my satisfaction" Anthony said that the work would be done in 3-4 days, and everything would be perfect, and if they were not that his firm would fix everything to my satisfaction (as also stated by their firm on all areas of their website). They finished the work in 2 days, and the crew that was here (whom I met) could not get out of here fast enough. Not to mention completely did not vent the down stairs bathroom ceiling fan, which they came into the home and were shown exactly where it was. The crew said they never could find it and roofed right over it. The work was horrible, there was damage to areas of siding that was fine before the work started, and the overall work done was really poor at best. There are areas of my roof that are worse than they were before the work was done. The workers who were subcontracted to left my house property like a disaster area. Unbelievably trashed with materials strewn all over the place , most of which were nails, screws, and sharply cut metal which was also left all over the front of the house and free for regular pedestrians to be harmed from. I picked them all up as best as I could. Simply awful as NO ATTEMPT to clean up was performed. I took pictures and shared them with Anthony. He said that he would get everything fixed ASAP. That was weeks ago, and every week since I reached Anthony asking when they were coming, he said that they would be here that week and things will be fixed. Still no one has come. I do not think they did half the work (i.e. insulated the entire roof as contracted – or even any of it for all I know from what I can see now, and a few other repairs), and some materials that were delivered were never used and disappeared. I saw them (gutter leaf guards, etc.) dropped off in my driveway, and the contractors subcontracted to (out of Worcester, MA) said they were never delivered. They were! I saw them! So stolen as far as I can tell. The poor work has me extremely concerned that the thousands of dollars I paid was basically stolen, and my house is in danger from weather.
They suck, the used sub standard and use things on my porch. For my front stairs they are leaning to the right, did not put down a foundation for the stairs. Hand rails were cut to short then they just add a piece of wood to make it fit. I have nails coming out of my front porch. Back porch handrail is not even. Right where you come off the back porch is loose and nails are coming up. Top porch has nails coming out on the railing. I have called them to correct it and they don't respond. Oh he took my information and apply for credit cards in my name so he can get paid. he told me this was a federal program.. now I am speaking with a lawyer and the inspector
