A+ Plastering

What people write about A+ Plastering is the finish: walls and ceilings that come out smooth. It is a Framingham plastering company — Thumbtack's profile lists three employees and five years in business — and Marcelo is named in nine of the 37 write-ups, usually as the one on site. Most of the jobs described are repairs. In a November 2025 review a homeowner had a large damaged area of ceiling patched, a few extra spots corrected, and said the whole thing looked new again; another that same month had a bathroom wall repaired. In February 2026 a customer who found the company through Thumbtack said Marcelo made time after working hours, on short notice, to come inspect a crack in their ceiling. And in July 2025 someone hired him to clean up after a different contractor: he skim-coated the messy walls smooth and patched a couple of holes he had not been asked to touch. Not all of it is patchwork. Three reviewers in July 2025 described blueboard hung on ceilings and plastered, including a damaged section repaired so the patch does not show. A restoration company brought them in during February 2026 to replaster a basement after water damage and said the existing swirl finish was matched. A March 2026 reviewer called a high-ceilinged garage "not an easy project" and said it came out perfect. More than a dozen of the write-ups land on the same detail: no mess. Sites left organized, floors clean, everything picked up before the crew goes. Ratings run 5.0 across 39 on Google and 4.9 across 93 on Thumbtack, 97% of those at five stars. One thing to settle when you call. Two reviewers describe surfaces handed over ready for paint, one of them in September 2025 saying it made the painter's job easy, while interior painting sits on the company's Thumbtack service list, so be clear about which you are buying and whether the price includes it. For plaster and drywall work around Framingham — cracks, patches, skim coating, popcorn ceilings, blueboard — this is a straightforward call, particularly if you want the room usable and clean when the work stops. Thumbtack lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor licence for the company; get the number and the scope on the written quote before the first coat goes on.
