ABC Fuel is a heating oil delivery business that describes itself as serving Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown and the surrounding towns, and says it has been in business 27 years. A 2025 customer said they called from Florida because their father's home is in Danbury, and that after he suffered a stroke while on vacation in California, the company arranged a fuel drop within a day. A 2024 customer who was not an ABC customer ran out of oil on an 11-degree Sunday and said the company came out within 45 minutes, then had someone restart the heating system within 30 minutes. A 2025 customer said a truck arrived within 30 minutes for an emergency oil delivery. A 2025 customer thanked Steve, the delivery man, for pointing out a faulty oil tank gauge. A 2026 customer said the company offered to help when their regular oil company did not show. A 2026 customer gave one star after a representative hung up on them when they called to request an oil delivery. A 2026 customer said the company refused to come to a house with a fence frozen shut, swore at them on the phone and hung up several times. A 2025 customer who ran out of oil after a scheduled delivery never came said the office would not send anyone because it was icy, and that their card was charged for the delivery they did not get. A 2024 customer said they were charged extra for same-day delivery. A 2024 customer said the price quoted over the phone was lower than what was charged after the oil was dropped off. A 2022 customer of several years said the per-gallon price shifted sharply upward about a year into the pandemic. ABC Fuel holds a 4-star Google rating from 46 ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau, which lists it as accredited.
My regular oil company did not show and I was running dangerously low, I called ABC who could not have been nicer and more accommodating.As it turned out I did not require their service but I appreciate their offer to help an elderly person who could not afford to run out.
Beware of the extreme disrespect from this company’s call line. One representative hung up on me after I called to request an oil delivery. I explained that I have a newborn baby at home and was concerned about running out of oil. They then showed up a day earlier than scheduled and delivered oil after I had already arranged delivery with another company so I never had time to cancel the delivery. Despite this, I was charged a so-called “50-gallon minimum,” which is not listed anywhere on their website. The bill left at my home did not show this charge, and I was given no paperwork or explanation for it. When I called to ask why I was charged an additional exact $178, the representative told me it was “because you wasted our time.” Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
Refused to come to my house, I'm frozen in. path dug, fence frozen shut. Refused to walk around the other side or through my home. Swore at my on the phone and hung up on the several times, refused to give me their names said I didnt need it. Then topped it off with "have a nice day". Oil prices are way too high anyways, get a company who cares about you! And i expect you will remove this, but ill just put it back up. If I could give zero stars I would. And you better believe I will be calling back during the week to talk to a manager or owner.
ABC Fuel !!! As a longtime customer, I can only say this: dependable, reliable service - come rain or shine, or snowstorm; attentive, responsive customer service; tanker drivers on schedule.. I am glad that it is ABC Fuel with whom My experience has been so trouble-free and that they can always be counted on to "deliver" on your expectations.. Such dedication on the part of ABC Fuel to their duty to serve their customers certainly deserves My appreciation and gratitude..
I called ABC from Fla as my Dads home is in Danbury. He was on vaca in California when he suffered a stroke. With winter on us n his fuel low, they were able to long distance facilitate a drop in a days time! Thanks to all who helped me help my DaD ☮️
