In a 2023 review, a customer on an oil contract described automatic oil delivery 8-9 times a year plus one boiler cleaning, then said the company told them it no longer services boilers when their month-old boiler had an issue. That 2023 customer also said emails to the company went unanswered. Superior Plus Energy Services says it has been in business for 100 years, and its website advertises 24/7 emergency service. A 2025 customer said their grandmother, long on automatic delivery, ran out of propane after a snow storm, was told she was on a will-call basis, and that a promised delivery never showed up. That 2025 customer also wrote that the company had sold their oil to another company. A 2025 customer said people were sent to the house twice without the promised call ahead, arriving around 8 in the evening, and that a manager never returned a call about an account balance. A 2022 customer said the company would not make an oil delivery to their mother because of a report that her tank was leaking, and that an inspection by another company found the tank sound. A 2022 customer whose local propane/oil supplier the company had bought out said it was two hours late for a service call and double debited a bank account. A 2021 customer said a request to install a standby generator went weeks without a callback, and that the Fire Marshall started proceedings against the company to remove an old propane tank. A 2023 customer said the company refused to return an overpayment. A 2025 customer praised a helpful salesman and quick service.

If I could give a place zero stars and still leave a review I would. This place is disgusting and has no care for the elderly clients they have. As you can read by other reviews on here… my grandmother has been a long time customer of theirs. For years things were fine. Just recently they sold their oil to another company, whatever doesn’t matter. Here we are months down the line the aftermath of our first snow storm, and my grandmother who has COPD, on oxygen 24/7 is completely out of propane. Tank is bone dry and hot water heater is ice cold. She calls them and the lady on the phone has the audacity to say “well we were waiting for you to run out to replace your tank.” 1. Our tank was just replaced less than a year ago and 2. If you were waiting for us to run out wouldn’t you atleast tell us that was the plan??! Then she says “well your on a will call basis” in all the years my grandmother has been a customer it has never been that way. It’s always been automatic. After fighting on the phone she tells my grandmother “maybe we can get out there tomorrow” whatever ok. My grandmother drove 30plus minutes to work to only get a call saying “we’re on our way to your house” Hopeful we were getting propane my grandmother turned right around didn’t even walk into work. Well guess who never showed up…. Superior never did. Sad excuse for a company and no care for their elderly clients. I’ll leave it at this.
Very helpful salesman good prices Quick Service
I have had a very unpleasant experience with this company. Customer service falls flat more times than not. There is no communication whatsoever. There have been similar issues in the past, but recently, they sent people to my house while I was working, even though I was told I would be called the day before. I called them back to complain and they said "I'll see what we can do. We will call you back. " They then send someone out without telling me again while I was working. They finally got to my house around 8 in the evening. After speaking with the manager Gus, I was given the impression that everything was paid for and taken care of. Upon calling to schedule a refill I was told that there was a balance on my account. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he would call me back. Once again, I received no such call. I am very upset and I have now switched companies. I also plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This extremely unprofessional and not how business should be done.
First let me say this, we asked about replacing the boiler and were told to get a plumber. Fine, new boiler is installed. Then we have a boiler issue, it's a brand-new boiler, 1 month old. My husband calls to ask for service and is told they no longer service boilers. Why the hell am I paying a contract of $400.00 with “gold membership"? I just paid this in October, and I asked for my money back. This is a ridiculous amount of money to auto deliver oil 8-9 times a year and one boiler cleaning. OH WAIT, they don't service boilers anymore. I want my money back!!! Why is it so hard to get a reply from this company? I have emailed in the past as well with no replies, this is not great customer service. Not to mention their oil prices and extra fees associated with each delivery are ridiculous.
This company is dispicable, they take advantage of people with dementia, make a mistake and overpay and they refuse to return your money. Disgusting greedy unscrupulous people.
