Twenty-five years of wear from a succession of dogs had left one customer's wood floors scratched and worn down; Adam refinished them, and in a February 2025 review the homeowner said they looked brand new. Old floors brought back is the job this Middleton shop keeps getting called for.
Abner Wood Floors installs, sands, refinishes, restores and repairs wood floors across Middleton, Danvers, Peabody, North Andover, North Reading and Lynnfield, and it also pours epoxy for garages, basements and commercial spaces. Interior and exterior painting is on the list as well. Adam Gebski owns the company.
Several reviewers are on their second or third job with him. One wrote in December 2025 that they had used Abner in their past three homes and called him straightforward and honest about what is possible and what is not. Another, in November 2025, described two jobs years apart: a new 5-inch oak floor across an entire first floor, then old painted pine upstairs refinished later. A company that has hired them on several projects wrote in May 2026 about meticulous prep and application.
The specifics homeowners give are concrete. In April 2026, a customer whose three-room hardwood installation was six years old lost one room's floor to an ice dam, and Adam blended the new boards into the old so the seam did not show. A May 2026 review describes a whole house of hardwood repaired and resurfaced, down to every nook and cranny. Another from May 2026 covers a garage epoxy floor that came out clean and smooth. In March 2025, a floor went in within a day, with sanding and staining over the four days after. A January 2024 customer who had just bought a house with worn, scratched floors was walked through picking the right stain.
One thing to raise before booking: the Better Business Bureau grades the business C+, giving as its reason a failure to respond to one complaint filed against it, with the file opened in March 2025.
If your floors are old, painted, water-damaged or scratched past mopping, that is what customers keep hiring this shop for, and the garage epoxy work shows up in reviews of its own. Ask for the schedule in writing — install day, sanding days, staining days — get stain samples put on your own boards, and ask up front how a callback is handled if something needs a return visit.
