Accutec is a home inspection business at 55 Dearth Hill Rd in Brimfield, in the hills between Sturbridge and Palmer, with Thomas Coleman as the inspector homeowners deal with. What customers have said about him is specific but dated. In an April 2015 review, a first-time buyer referred to him by their realtor wrote that Tom is the absolute meaning of what a home inspector should be: he inspected and explained the major details they should watch for, and went further to explain how the home's newer components worked and when each would need servicing. That reviewer said they would refer him to anyone buying a first home. That single account is the whole written record, and it is a decade old, so nothing here speaks to how the business runs today. If you are considering him, treat the basics as things to establish yourself: confirm the current Massachusetts home inspector licence, ask what the inspection covers and what the report looks like, and ask for a recent client you can call.
My realtor referred Thomas Coleman of AccuTec to inspect our first home. Tom is the absolute meaning of what a home inspector should be. He went above and beyond to inspect and explain the major details that I should look out for and be aware of. He even explain how newer components of the home worked (components that needed future maintenance, he advise when they should be serviced). His thorough home inspection should not go unnoticed! I’m happy he inspected our home and I would refer him to anyone looking to purchase their first home.
