Clogged drains, leaking pipes, water heaters and a furnace that quit: that is the kinds of jobs Action Plumbing, Heating & Air gets called out for. The company says it has been in business 16 years, and its stated service area runs through Newport, Concord, Andover, Bow, Franklin and Goffstown. Its New Hampshire licence, MBE2201454, is active on the state registry, held by Action Plumbing Heating and Air, LLC. A recent Google reviewer wrote that Alex snaked a septic problem, then showed back up with plumbers putty when a basement shower started leaking within two days. In the same account, Ethan ran a camera to show the clog, cleared it with multiple passes and followed up with another camera inspection. A recent customer praised the emergency work the plumber did in their kitchen. A 2026 customer wrote that Megan got a tech out to look at a furnace that wasn't working, and that the tech came back the next morning with the parts and had it up and running again. A 2025 customer wrote that Dave replaced a 30-gallon tank and tee package, two bathroom faucets and several isolation valves at their older home; old, rusty isolation valves pushed the job into a second day, and the garbage disposal they thought was broken turned out not to be. A 2024 customer wrote that Dave installed a Rheem heat pump water heater, worked through an error code and a few leaks, then hauled away the old heater and packing materials and cleaned up. A 2024 customer said the company removed and replaced an entire furnace/water heater system in less than two days and left the basement cleaner than before. A recent Google reviewer wrote that the visit was supposed to happen in the morning but came around 8 PM, charged after-hours rates without mentioning it, replaced roughly 8 feet of drain line in about 20 minutes using the customer's own materials, added a "pro-plan" without consent and charged nearly $2,500. A 2026 customer wrote that a clogged drain line was fixed quickly, but after being told only one small spot in the basement needed cleaning, they found toilet waste all over the place around one of the clean outs. A 2026 customer called the $140 hourly rate on the high side after a leak was repaired the same day for $200. A 2025 customer said Ethan did the job well but felt overcharged for 30 to 40 minutes of work.
Utter scam. Were supposed to show up in the AM, procrastinated until PM (around 8), charged for after-hours work without mentioning, performed simple fix (replaced roughly 8 foot of drain line in easy access) in roughly 20 minutes using MY MATERIALS, added some ridiculous "pro-plan" without my consent, and charged nearly $2500. Shame on me for being a sucker. Will never happen again.
August 2026 Well again i go through a septic problem. This time i was smarter, I'd fix it myself. Upon a day later & Home Depot richer from the equipment i bought or rented, I still had the problem. Calling ACTION PLUMBING should have been my first call, A nice young man Alex came & snaked it properly resolving the problem. Called back within 2 days with basement shower leaking. Young Alex showed back up with plumbers putty, and was once again the STAR OF THE DAY !!! We had an unexpected plumbing issue with our sewer system, after calling our local contractor he advised calling a plumber with a snake & camera. After calling 2 local plumbers, who were to busy with installations and could get to us in a week or so. Luckily on my 3rd try, I was able to get Action Plumbing Heating and Air who has both installations and service personnel available & was able to come the same DAY !!! Ethan came with all tools needed to complete the job at hand, he went about with the camera and showed us the clog/stoppage. He explained in detail his findings and his steps to resolve the problem. As we watched, Ethan went above and beyond our expectations on clearing the clog, with multiple passes followed up with another camera inspection. He also put back basement toilet we took off trying to clear the clog on our own. ACTION PLUMBING HEATING AND AIR will now be my go to for all my plumbing issues as their actions and Ethan’s dedication, showed me they are the contractor I want & need. I highly recommend them !!!
