A May 2026 Google reviewer said Acton Pest Control arrived on time, completed its work, explained future maintenance and arranged twice-yearly visits. An April 2026 customer described next-day service, transparent process and pricing, and time to answer every question without feeling rushed. Acton Pest Control Services says it is a family-owned business established in 1987, providing integrated pest management for insects, rodents and wildlife in Acton, Concord and surrounding areas. Google shows a 5-star average from 69 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. Customers describe both treatment and help understanding how pests get into a house. In an August 2025 review, a homeowner said Chris inspected the yard and house exterior for possible entry points, then checked from basement to attic for mice activity and insects. The customer also described treatment of an underground yellow jacket nest. A December 2022 reviewer said Chris identified mice as the cause of attic noise, placed bait traps in the attic, garage and basement, inspected the exterior and explained how the customer could plug likely entry holes. Nest work sometimes required a second visit. In an August 2025 Google account, a customer described a large yellow jacket nest that remained active about a week after treatment. The customer contacted the company on a Sunday evening, received an immediate response and said it returned the next day; the review reported that the nest was then dead. Another August 2025 customer said Chris explained and agreed on a price increase when additional wasp nests enlarged the scope, then followed up about activity at a hidden nest. An initial inspection carried a charge for one customer. In an August 2025 review about a mouse problem, the homeowner said the company did not offer the free initial inspection some competitors did, but considered the inside-and-outside assessment worth the fee. In a December 2024 account, another customer praised the mouse inspection and said there was no pressure to take a long-term service contract. A September 2022 customer described a hornet nest high under the eaves on a steep roofline. Chris assessed it, brought his cousin to help with the ladders, removed the nest and explained what to expect after treating the remnants.

We had a terrifying and extra large yellowjacket nest with part of the dome above ground. It was grown through with plants and far too intimidating than the typical underground nest. Way beyond what a homeowner with store-bought sprays could manage. I filled out a web form after business hours and was contacted first thing the next morning. Acton Pest Control was there that afternoon. They were friendly and professional, truly pleasant to work with. The nest was bigger than any of us imagined, and though significantly diminished, showed more activity about a week later. I messaged them on a Sunday evening, received an immediate response, and they were there the next day. It's dead now, that's for sure! Excellent - exceptional - customer service, at a very reasonable fee. I can't praise them highly enough. I guess that's what you get when you choose a local, family run business. Five stars and two unstung thumbs up!
