Addario's Plumbing & Heating is a sizeable Peabody operation — 243 ratings apiece on HomeAdvisor and Angi, another 120 on Thumbtack — with enough named technicians (Dave, Tim, Josh, Luiz, Andy, Matthew, Steve, Anthony, Doug) showing up across reviews that this reads like a real multi-crew company rather than a one-person shop. It's BBB accredited with an A+ grade. The work described spans plumbing and heating both: a garbage disposal swap, an emergency main water-line leak fixed inside 30 minutes on a holiday weekend, a broken spigot repaired the same way, smart thermostat installs, and — in a 2025 review — a furnace replacement finished in a single day with four trucks on site. On Reddit, a homeowner recommending the company in a heating thread described switching from an old Carrier system to a Bosch heat pump with a gas backup plus a hot water system overhaul, for less than half the price of a competing quote, with the rebate paperwork handled for them. Pricing comes up as a real, recurring theme on the other side. A Thumbtack review from February 2026 describes a $99 diagnostic fee as fair but calls an $8,000 boiler-maintenance recommendation "laughable," saying the same job got done elsewhere for half that. A HomeAdvisor review rated 0.5 stars is more pointed: work that seemed fine but turned out overpriced, poor communication across several contacts with no resolution, and a complaint about signage the company had placed in a condo building's basement that the reviewer felt was misleading. Separately, a 2.5-star Angi review describes only one of two leaks getting fixed, with a high charge for the diagnostic visit. Recent activity leans positive — 9 reviews in the last six months, 1 negative — and the bulk of the record backs that up: technicians who call ahead, explain the work, and finish fast. But given how often price and upsell complaints recur across independent reviewers, it's worth asking for a firm, itemized quote before any bigger repair gets approved.
“We had bad experience with Addarios.”
“We picked Addarios and got less than half that as a quote (and price) on. a much much larger place. Included removal of our shitty carrier system (avoid!) and replacement with a bosch heat pump and auxiliary natural gas system. Also included repairs on a hot water system including two new zones, pumps and smart thermostats. Got a rebate on the amount too which they handled.”
high on price but did a good job and responded quickly the next day they were out here .
Was great 👍
Excellent - I would definitely consider hiring Addario, Inc. again. From start to finish my home service - the removal and installation of my garbage disposal - was excellent.
Expensive but good.
They showed up on time and worked with me on my projects to get the best value. They walked me through everything and communicated the issues well.
