Amaral Enterprises is the Salem answer to a driveway full of demolition debris — one man, three trucks, and nearly four decades of hauling other people's rubbish away. When a Salem redditor asked in August 2025 how to dispose of demolition and construction debris, the reply was short and local: "Amaral Disposal. Great guys. Local Salem owned business," followed by the phone number. That is the whole of the independent word-of-mouth, but it points the same way as the paperwork. The Better Business Bureau lists it as a sole proprietorship owned by Carlos Amaral with one employee, in business since 1989, carrying an A+ grade — though it is not BBB accredited, which is a different thing and worth understanding before it reads as a badge. Its own site claims a longer history still, 'The Trusted Name in Trash Removal Service since 1981' and 41 years of experience; the two founding dates do not agree, and neither is independently verified. The work itself spans more than the name suggests. Alongside junk and appliance removal it lists small demolition — sheds, chimneys, fences, driveways — plus tree cutting and shrub pruning, recycling, snow removal and seasonal yard cleanup, for both homes and businesses. A sensible call for a Salem-area clear-out or a small demolition job where you want a local operator rather than a national chain. Given it is a one-person business, confirm scheduling and the disposal fee for your particular load before the truck is booked.
