AN Carpentry And Painting

Most of the detail in AN Carpentry and Painting's Google reviews isn't about paint at all — it's about what happens before the first coat. Three separate customers describe the same work: scraping and stripping a house down to bare wood. The company is based on Summer Street in Lynn, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#198155) is active. A June 2025 review covers a colonial in Beverly, where the shakes were stripped to raw wood and rotted areas were ripped out and replaced. In an August 2025 review, a customer wrote that Arfeldo and his crew peeled and scraped every inch of a very large home and walked them through questions as they came up — the job, they said, brought their childhood home back to life. A 2022 review from Braintree describes a large crew scraping a Victorian down to the wood during the hottest week of the summer. The carpentry half of the name turns up too. A September 2025 review describes a tri-level deck with a lot of damage repaired and refinished, the customer writing that Arfeldo made sure no stone was unturned. In April and May 2026, two customers wrote shorter notes: the job done when promised, the results as described, and one called the price good. Another, writing in July 2025, was on a second house with the company. Its written history runs 2022 to 2026 on Google, where it holds a 5.0 average across eight ratings. If your house needs more prep than paint — old shingles, flaking clapboard, a deck with soft boards underfoot — this is the kind of crew that work calls for. Before booking, pin down how far the scraping goes, which rotted boards are covered in the quoted price rather than billed as extras, and confirm current insurance.
