Overall it went well, however, prices were on the higher end and not as advertised over the phone. Make sure to get firm quote, in writing or otherwise, before scheduling appointment.
After submitting a request to Home Advisor seeking chiminey repair, I was inundated with calls from numerous contractors. They each arrived with impressive new work trucks that likely never hauled a single brick. Each company sent two well-dressed representatives to take photos and measurements--yet neither had the competence to draft an estimate on-site. The exception: ANCHOR CHIMNEY. Dennis (the owner) arrived in person and had a reasonable quote available on the spot. He sent a crew out the next day to begin the work. To my amazement, the crew changed in accordance with each process of the project: staging, demolition, repair, and clean up. That is, the licensed mason was only on-site long enough to lay brick--and that savings was passed on to me. If you intend to pay for nice clothes and impressive trucks, you have plenty of options. But, if you're looking for quality workmanship at an affordable price, I recommend ANCHOR CHIMINEY.
