One thing to pin down before you sign. The Angi profile, which carries the company under the name Alexander Construction LLC, states 24 years of experience and free estimates, while the BBB file puts the business at 12 years — worth asking which clock they are counting, and which name goes on the contract. For a bathroom, a basement or a run of finish carpentry you want one crew to carry from demolition to trim, this is a registered Newton contractor with a customer who came back for a second and third job. Get the scope and schedule in writing, ask for a certificate of insurance, and ask for references from projects like the one you are planning.
