The volume here is unusual for a one-man operation: 209 ratings on Google averaging close to five stars, built up across 134 reviews since 2021 and three separate sources. The word that keeps surfacing review after review is "thorough," sometimes to the point that clients mention feeling a little overwhelmed by how much he finds. One recent reviewer called him the inspector who "uncovers everything and anything that is wrong with and can go wrong with your home" and admitted it was "a little scary at first." Another, in June, said he caught something a home insurance company's own inspection had missed. A buyer in April credited him with steering them away from over $100,000 in hidden problems. Real-estate agents show up in the reviews too: one RE/MAX Beacon agent says she refers buyer clients to him specifically because of how he walks people through the report. The last six months back that pattern up: 17 reviews, 16 of them five-star, several describing him going past the basics, climbing out a window in the snow to reach a blocked roof deck, turning a report around the same night, and building out photo-and-diagram documentation clients could hand straight to a builder or agent. The one sour note in that recent stretch is worth knowing about: a March review said the inspection ran long and that the report dwelled on cluttered rooms and guessed at appliance age in a way the client found unnecessary and, at over $800, insulting. It's an outlier against the rest of the recent record, but it points at the same trait other reviewers frame as a strength: he documents more than some homeowners expect, so it's worth asking upfront how granular the report will run. Call him for a residential inspection on an older New England house, since old-home construction and wiring quirks are clearly part of his comfort zone, and ask whether you want the termite, radon, mold, or thermal-imaging add-ons bundled in alongside the core inspection.
