The reviews people leave after hiring him tell a fairly consistent story: he shows up fast. In a November 2025 review a customer wrote that Nick came out the next day and resolved the issue quickly; a 2022 review described him fitting in a same-day look at a problem and staying clear about pricing throughout. Another from 2022 recounts him tracking down an obscure refrigerant issue in a homeowner's newly purchased house, complete with a warning that the previous owner may have overcharged the system before selling — the kind of detail that points to real diagnostic work, not just a parts swap. A separate 2024 review credits "Jeremy and his crew" with diagnosing a dead circulator pump and adding valves for easier maintenance going forward, and a January 2022 review describes working through a snowstorm to service two family properties, tracking down replacement parts and coming back a second day to finish deferred maintenance properly. Not every account is glowing. An August 2025 Google review describes a soured job: the reviewer says Nick went quiet after a leak turned up mid-job, so they hired a different plumber instead, and they're asking for a $200 refund. It's a one-sided account with no response on record, but it's a real complaint worth weighing against the pattern of praise elsewhere. Thumbtack's own numbers back up that there's some real spread here too: its 41 ratings average 4.2 stars, but 17% of them are 1-star — a wider negative minority than the individually quoted reviews suggest on their own. One thing worth noting: that 2024 review names "Jeremy" as the technician, while every other review on file names Nick. It's not clear whether Jeremy works alongside him or the review got attached to the wrong business. Before booking, it's worth asking directly how billing and follow-up communication work if something goes sideways mid-job — that's the specific gap the August 2025 complaint points to. For routine heating and AC repair, especially a system nobody else could diagnose, the record from 2022 through late 2025 leans toward fast and thorough.
