Aqua-Star Pools

If you care about your pool, use someone else! I used Acqua Star for several years as an 'all inclusive' contract client. With this service, they would open and close the pool, as well as treat it chemically and vacuum it weekly. Part of the service was also supposed to be a weekly brushing which is recommended for gunite pools; however, this rarely happened, and usually only after I complained. The first year after my in-ground pool installation, the plaster developed calcium scaling which we have battled ever since. Acqua Star always maintained that it was the plaster, and my (very reputable) pool installer insisted it was improper pH. The field techs who came out weekly would always leave a copy of the pH report which indicated it was exactly where it should be. After years of being unhappy with their service, I finally called other pool companies who came out and showed me that the pH was far from perfect and indicated that the tech's probably just wrote whatever they wanted in the pH box. I tried to reach their management and left several messages, but was told that the owner was too busy and would get back to me. Only after I cancelled the service, did I get a call from the owner who seemed to care less after I told him I was unhappy with their service for some time - I believe his exact response was "OK". I will never be able to get rid of the calcium scaling without having the pool resurfaced. If you care about your investment, use someone else - learn from my mistake.

Jake and his team at Aqua - Star have been incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, honest and professional. An absolute breath of fresh air in this space. I highly recommend for maintenance, repairs and seasonal items as well.
