A few pool tiles needed replacing, and a recent customer of R.I. Pools, Inc. said the owner came over that day and took care of it within two days; the company had built that customer's pool many years earlier. R.I. Pools says it has 53 years in business, and its website names a service area of ten towns, among them Norwalk, Westport, Stamford and Greenwich. A recent customer said Franco and family were accessible and professional throughout the process. A 2024 customer said they worked with Franco on pool and masonry work in Westport. A 2025 customer said they asked R.I. Pools to resurface their 25-year-old pool and fix other items, including electrical and a main bottom drain; the pool was resurfaced with diamond Brite, and the total job was $70,000. In that 2025 review, the customer said the work was done well, but the workers walked all over the dark gray coating and left boot prints, the color was uneven, and Franco refused when the customer offered to split the cost of a new application. A 2022 customer said that after a pool installation at their Greenwich home, they were still without a c/o 1.5 years later and could not sell the home. A 2022 customer said cracks appeared after a year or two and the company refused to fix them even after acknowledging the warranty covered them; that customer hired a new pool company to redo the pool. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0562717, as active, held by R I Pools Inc.
R.I. built our pool many years ago and we’ve been very happy with it. Recently I had to replace a few tiles, a job that I thought would be too small for them. I called just to identify the make of the tiles, and the owner came over that day and said they’d be happy to repair it. I mentioned that we were soon to be traveling abroad, so he took care of it within two days. So - very satisfied!
Great recommendations based on experience building pools. Franco and family were accessible and professional throughout the process.
I have a 25 year-old Pool and I asked RI Pools to resurface it and also fix a bunch of other things like electrical and the main bottom drain wasn't working. The pool was resurfaced with an application of diamond Brite, which is the best surface application. The total job was not cheap: it was $70,000. Overall, the work was done well, but I had one major issue. After applying the diamond bright coating, which is dark gray, the workers walked all over it and left a bunch of boot prints. The color on my pool is pretty uneven. I tried my best to work in good faith with Franco even willing to split The cost of a new application of diamond Brite and he simply refused. Now I'm stuck with an unsatisfactory finish and may go somewhere else to have it redone. He does a lot of pools of Westport and he does a nice job and has a good reputation, even though he is expensive. I was shocked when he didn't stand by his work.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the pleasure of working with Franco for some pool and masonry work in Westport, and I can't recommend him highly enough! Franco is truly a man of integrity and respect. He approaches his work with honesty and dedication, making the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Unlike many salespeople, Franco prioritizes your needs and ensures that every detail is perfect. His professionalism and genuine character set him apart. It's rare to find someone who truly cares about their craft and their clients, and Franco embodies both. If you're looking for quality work and a trustworthy partner, look no further. Franco is your guy!
I used RI Pools to install a pool in my previous home in Wesport and they did a great job. So I used them again after I moved to Greenwich. Unfortunately this time after installing my pool they have left me high and dry with no c/o. This is 1.5 years after installation I'm still without a c/o and therefore cannot sell my home or do further outdoor renovations.
