Arcady's Carpentry is a Watertown, family-run outfit built around one person: Arkady, who the company describes as a master furniture and cabinet maker with 30 years of experience, and who reviewers repeatedly note handles design, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work himself rather than farming trades out. "I own my business, I own my work," the company's site puts it. That range shows up project after project. A gut kitchen renovation in a 175-year-old East Boston brownstone — a job several other contractors declined to quote — is described as coming out "like a magazine" after three months of permit-driven work and constant communication. A Brookline homeowner's full 1929-house renovation covered bathroom rebuilds with new floor plans, kitchen and lighting changes, new walls, cabinetry, electrical and plumbing. Another client's three-bathroom overhaul included heated floors, in-wall faucets, bidets, washlets, and large-format Italian tile. Smaller jobs get the same attention — one reviewer describes Arkady coming back late at night to finish a bidet install after the town unexpectedly cut the water, and another recalls him diagnosing and fixing a rotted sink platform overnight. On Houzz, the profile is accredited with a perfect 5.0 from four reviews plus two Houzz Awards. One reviewer, describing a 2023 kitchen project, called him a licensed plumber and electrician — worth confirming directly, since that isn't independently verified here. Not every experience has gone smoothly: in a November 2025 review, a customer describes leaving several voice messages with no response, getting a callback only after posting that review, and then waiting roughly two weeks for an estimate. It stands out against a long run of five-star accounts, but it's a real complaint worth keeping in mind if scheduling flexibility is a priority. For a kitchen or bathroom remodel — especially one involving custom cabinetry or an older, out-of-plumb house — the pattern here is a hands-on tradesman capable of complex work, at the cost of being a small, in-demand operation that may take some persistence to reach.

I initially left a few voice messages and received no response. After posting a review, I received a call back. Since then, I have been trying to obtain an estimate for about two weeks now.
Purchased a new taller fridge and we needed our cabinets cut down in size to fit into the kitchen. Arcady craftsmanship was on full display as one wouldn't be able to tell that cabinets were modified. Price was reasonable. Will definitely hire Arcady for future jobs and recommend to friends and family.
Arkady went above and beyond to install a bidet for us, even coming back late at night to finish the installation when our water was shut off unexpectedly by the town for road work. Would highly recommend!
Arcady and his team did a fantastic job remodeling my kitchen. The team was very professional and always on time. Arcady is very honest with his work and takes a lot of pride in doing the job right. Highly recommend this crew!
Arkady redid my kitchen. Couldn't be happier. Would absolutely hire again/recommend. Thank you Arkady!
