A 2024 customer said Arctic Oil & Propane had delivered both their home heating oil and propane for several years, the propane for a buried 500-gallon tank serving a swimming pool, kitchen and decorative heaters, usually next day and several times the same day they called. In a cold snap, that 2024 customer texted Arctic when their tank was pretty low and said it was full in a couple hours. The company says on its website that it has been in business 31 years, and a ctinsider.com listing names Arctic Oil & Propane of Southington a second runner-up. A 2024 customer said they and their neighbors all got their propane tank filled, and that the owner, George, said they could make some kind of arrangement even though the company does not typically offer pre-buy for the winter. Its BBB grade is A+. A 2025 customer said they wanted a quick call back confirming they were on the schedule for delivery and that no person ever answered the phone; that customer also said Arctic was usually good at refilling when they called to set it up. A 2022 customer said they asked for a quote on 500 gallons of oil by phone and through the online form, never got a response, and bought from another supplier.
