Getting Bayside Electrical Contractors back out to a house is the complaint that comes up in its Google reviews. In a September 2025 review, a customer said the company left faulty breakers on a new renovation in Osterville center and ignored calls and requests to fix them for months, saying no crew was available. A July 2024 reviewer told a similar story about exterior lights: Bayside fixed them about two years earlier, after a couple of months on a wait list, for well over $1,000. When the lights began popping the breaker Bayside had installed, the customer called again earlier that year, went back on a wait list, and months later was told there were no electricians available for "House Calls." Others object to how they were treated. Reviews from October and November 2025, one written in Portuguese, call the employees rude and disrespectful, and a December 2023 caller asking about an estimate for panel and service-line upgrades described the woman who answered as snobby and rude. Google shows a 2.3-star average from 18 ratings. The company itself is an established West Yarmouth outfit. It says it was founded in 1993 as a family-owned business led by president and master electrician Arthur P. Doherty Jr., and offers residential, commercial and utility electrical work across Cape Cod, the Islands, Plymouth and the South Shore. The Cape Cod Times has covered its solar installation work, including panels on the Cape Air building in Hyannis. The Massachusetts electrician licence #1196 is active on the state registry, held by Bayside Electrical Contractors Inc.
