Robies Heating & Cooling

Robies is a Cape Cod HVAC company with a broad installation and service operation: heat pumps, boilers, furnaces, air conditioning, generators, water heaters and indoor-air systems, plus an electrical division. Its website says Gerry Robichaud started the business and that it has served Cape Cod for more than 60 years; another passage says more than 65, so the company’s own history wording is inconsistent. Massachusetts registry records show HVAC licence 28-SM-M1 as active under John R. Robichaud. Recent Google reviewers repeatedly describe technicians who explain the work, arrive professionally and complete detailed heating and cooling projects. In July 2026, one customer praised a boiler and heat-pump installation and said a town inspector called the boiler work among the best he had seen. Other 2026 reviews describe mini-split and heat-pump installations, annual maintenance, a furnace emergency and Generac maintenance. A December 2025 review praised a Carrier replacement heat pump and Mitsubishi split system proposal that detailed rebates and tax credits. There are specific setbacks to ask about. In a November 2025 review, a customer described an AC installation that struggled with high humidity for years before correction. A February 2024 reviewer said three weeks passed without a promised call from sales, and a September 2023 reviewer said the company would only take on an attic heat-pump project under conditions the customer could not use. BBB lists a B- grade and one complaint on file. Robies looks suited to homeowners planning a substantial HVAC replacement, heat-pump conversion or recurring service plan, especially when rebates and system design matter.
