I hired Berkshire Pittsfield Septic Cleaning Service for a septic issue and had a frustrating experience that others should be aware of. An electrician was sent to my home three separate times. The first visit accomplished almost nothing. The second visit was triggered by an alarm and still didn’t resolve the issue, though the pump was replaced (something they should have figured out during their first visit). A third visit was then required just to hook the pump up. In total, I was charged $1,180 for electrical work (all-told, he spent maybe 4 hours) and about $600 in additional travel costs, much of which appears tied to repeat visits that could have been avoided with an initial accurate diagnosis and coordinated repair from the start. I spoke directly with the owner, who said he would review the situation and get back to me within a week. That was over two weeks ago, and I’ve heard nothing. I’m sharing this so others can make informed decisions. I’m still hoping the company will take responsibility and address the unnecessary charges.

I've been using them to pump out my septic system since I bought my house. Every time they come their price is reasonable and the employees are great. Most recently, Chris came up and he was super informative and very friendly.

We just had our septic pumped. $310. Cheapest around. We dug up the outlet cover instead of the tank so he dug it and when done pumping covered everything up again. Super nice guy, very informative. His name is Chris. We’ll be calling them again next time. Berkshire Pittsfield Septic.

Berkshire Septic arrived at my house for a blocked sewer pipe and stayed until the job was done. They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The job was very difficult and the temperatures were freezing. They arrived when scheduled, and were honest about when they could come. They wore masks and were socially distant. The price was reasonable for all the time that was spent fixing the problem. Although I don’t want to see them again, I’m glad I waited for their great professional service.
