It's a small sample from essentially a single source, so read the perfect score as encouraging rather than settled; there isn't yet the deep, multi-year history that makes a five-star average dependable. The bigger thing to sort out before calling is whether they're still working. Its Better Business Bureau profile carries an alert that the business is out-of-business, known or suspected, and lists it as Not Rated and not accredited — while those Google ratings and a Melrose Chamber of Commerce membership point to an active local presence. That contradiction is worth a direct phone call to confirm they're taking new clients. Big Bear has been a life saver! They helped us do projects around the house that had been piling up...until we desperately needed them done before a baby arrived. Very satisfied with the experience working with Big Bear team! We’ve been working with them for almost a year as monthly subscribers, and it has been such a huge help coordinating and knocking out big and small projects around the house. They have taken care of a number of different projects, for example refinishing our deck, repairing and repainting exterior trim on the house, installing a drywall section and railing along our basement stairs, repairing damage from a fridge leak, and recently helping to assess damage and vet contractors for roof repairs after major damage from snow this winter (huge help and stress relief to have them for this major problem!). Scheduling is easy online and through text, and they send summaries and follow up suggestions from each project which are super helpful as well.

As a parent of young children, it has hard to find time to do all of the house projects that I would like to do. Big Bear Home Care Service has been perfect for me as a busy parent on the go. When my son accidentally broke one of the glass panes on the door into our vestibule, I was certain I was going to need to replace the entire door, but Big Bear was able to fix the pane and have it looking like new with incredibly friendly service. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to maintain and improve their home and make their life a lot easier.

Big Bear Home Care Services has ben wonderful. They have fixed a lot of annoying problems in my house that I had been living with for a long time, and are always easy to deal with and always professional. Recently I had a persistent and frustrating problem with rodents that several specialized contractors failed to improve. Big Bear looked at the problem more broadly, figured out what needed to be done that others had not looked at, and solved the problem. They have the commitment and ability to look at the whole problem, not just the part they prefer to deal with. I look forward to continuing to work with them on my old and complicated house.
