Boston Plumbing - Heating Solutions is a young Dorchester/Milford-area outfit — Thumbtack lists it at just one year in business — but its record so far reads clean: fifteen reviews collected in 2026 alone, almost all five stars, and the same names keep showing up. Joe and Henry turn up across Thumbtack, Angi and HomeAdvisor reviews, which points to a small, consistent crew rather than a rotating cast of subs. The company's own site says it covers Boston, Braintree, Brookline, Dorchester, Hingham, Hyde Park, Milton, Norwood, Quincy, Roxbury, West Roxbury and Weymouth with plumbing repair, water heater work, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling. What people actually hire them for, going by the reviews, is urgent plumbing: a leaking tankless water heater replaced same-day, a burst pipe behind a 120-year-old wall traced and repaired with minimal mess, a dead water heater swapped out mid-blizzard on a Sunday before the first snowflake fell. Response time is the recurring theme — customers describe technicians arriving within 40 minutes to two hours of a call, with Joe or Henry calling ahead and explaining the fix in plain terms before starting, and pricing several reviewers called fair or several thousand less than competing quotes. It isn't spotless. One Angi reviewer says a toilet repair left the original problem worse, and when they called back, the company offered to sell a new toilet rather than fix what was done — worth asking about directly if a job like that comes up. Angi and HomeAdvisor both list a Massachusetts trade license (#37106-PL-J), and Thumbtack separately flags a Journeyman Plumber license as verified on its own platform; none of that is a state-registry check on our end, so it's worth confirming before signing anything large. For a straightforward plumbing call — a leak, a clogged drain, a water heater on its way out — this reads like a fast-responding, small operation with a short but consistently positive record. For anything larger, like an actual kitchen or bathroom remodel, the only evidence is the company's own service list rather than a finished project in the reviews, so it's worth asking to see photos of that kind of work before booking.
Joe is incredibly responsive and professional. Much appreciated!
These guys are thorough and professional. They took great care in not dirtying the house when investigating the leak. They were thorough in identifying the problem (120 year old pipe in wall) and replacing the pipe from the 2nd floor to basement with PVC. Cleaned up after themselves.
So good, so fast, I'll definitely be calling them for all my future needs.
10 out of 10. I will be using this service moving forward for all of my plumbing and HVAC needs. Hot water tank went out and they came out within 2 hours of my call, provided a very reasonable quote (several thousands less than the other plumbers) and had my tank replaced and hot water working the same day.
My tankless water heater was leaking, I called Boston plumbing and heating solutions they come less than an hour . And install new tankless same day . Thanks to help and save my family
