Weekly pool care and help when equipment failed brought customers to Breakwater Pools. In a February 2023 Google review, one customer described calls well ahead of opening and closing dates, arrival on the agreed day, fixed seasonal pool checks and explanations of problems and repairs. Other customers writing in March 2024 praised Kevin and his team's punctual service and communication. The West Yarmouth company describes itself as family-owned, serving Cape Cod and Plymouth County with pool and spa maintenance, repairs, construction and seasonal openings and closings. Customers described more than cleaning. A March 2024 reviewer said Breakwater had replaced their liner, filter and heater and converted the system to salt in the preceding years. Another March 2024 customer described Kevin installing a filter, heater and plumbing for a Soake plunge pool, programming OmniLogic equipment and later showing them how to control a pool light. That customer also hired Breakwater for weekly water chemistry management and said the team explained how the system worked. Water balance came up in other March 2024 accounts. One saltwater-pool customer praised clean, balanced water through the summer; another said Kevin made repeated visits when the pool developed a greenish tinge until the chemical balance was right. A customer staying at a winter home in North Carolina said Kevin kept them informed while finding a leak and installing a liner. In August 2024, a customer praised repairs and maintenance that summer and said the pool looked better than it had in a long time. Google shows a 4.9-star average from 34 ratings, with written customer accounts dating from 2022 to 2024. One July 2024 customer reported a sharply different experience: they said they paid $150 for 15 minutes of work, were told the company could not spend longer at a house without losing money and encountered an attitude when they questioned the service. Breakwater Pools Inc.'s Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The company also advertises pool installation and construction alongside its maintenance services.
