Bridgeline General Construction

Gustavo Lopes started Bridgeline in 2013 as a residential roofing, gutters and siding company, after years working as a wood framing carpenter. Today it trades as Bridgeline Exteriors and works as a building-envelope subcontractor, installing siding, rainscreen, air barriers, metal panel, windows and doors and wood framing on large multifamily, senior-living and institutional buildings for general contractors, with branch offices in Arlington, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina. Most of what is published about the company comes from the company. Its Procore profile, which it claims and fills in itself, lists three projects with two active, an average project size near $11.9 million, and a Massachusetts service area under project management and coordination. The site lists a 2023 NAWIC National Project Excellence Award in the residential category for a Medway project, a New England Real Estate Journal Project of the Month spotlight for a building in Everett, a seat on the NAWIC Boston board from 2024, a partnership with YouthBuild Boston and a Massachusetts Minority Business Enterprise certificate; all of those are the company's own statements. One public record is not. In February 2023 WGBH reported that city commissioners had fined two subcontractors on a city-funded, 43-unit affordable rental housing project in Roxbury led by Kaplan Construction, and named Bridgeline General Construction of Acton as one of them. The report as carried here gives no amount and no further outcome, so it is a question to put to the company directly. This is a subcontractor's business: the general contractor hires it for the envelope package, and the homeowner never does. A developer or general contractor weighing it should ask about the Roxbury fine, ask which of the named multifamily projects it can give references for, and confirm the Massachusetts MBE certificate against the state registry rather than the website.
