Bristol Mechanical LLC is an HVAC contractor, and a 2025 Google customer's account shows the kind of problem it took on: a second-floor HVAC unit that half a dozen HVAC contractors had looked at over five years, none of them too confident of a solution. That customer said Bob offered a couple of different ideas, including a less disruptive but somewhat more expensive solution. There were some hiccups getting parts at the right time, the customer said, but once that was squared away the fix took basically two days, and the customer was very pleased with the outcome. In 2024, a Google reviewer said Bob and team installed a heat pump and that the install took only a couple of days. A 2024 Reddit commenter said they had a 2 ton ducted system installed by Bristol Mechanical for about $14.5k and called it a pretty straightforward install. A 2025 Google reviewer complained that people working for the company pushed cyclists into the curb with their van and squirted them with washer fluid.
“>Bristol Mechanical Awesome. Adding to the list for the next benchmark”
“I got a 2 ton ducted system installed at my MILs for \~$14.5k from Bristol Mechanical. pretty straight forward install though”
Had a problem with my 2nd floor HVAC unit. Poorly designed and probably installed as well some 20 years. Over the past 5 years I have had a half dozen HVAC contractors take a look and give me ideas on a solution and price. None seemed too confident of the solution. So I never did anything. Just lived with it. I have a friend in the construction biz and asked him for recommendations. He gave me Bob's name. Called him up and showed him the issue. He had a couple of different ideas including executing on the plan another contractor had suggested. He also had a different solution that was less disruptive, albeit a bit more expensive. Trusting my contractor friend's recommendation I decided to take the leap, finally. So glad I did. I was concerned that the suggested solution wouldn't work as I had hoped as I really didn't know how fixable the issue was. Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. There were some hiccups with getting the parts at the right time but once he got that squared away it took basically two days to accomplish fixing the issue. Very pleased.
I prefer contractors who hire decent people who don't think it's fun / funny to push cyclists into the curb with their van and squirt them with washer fluid. 7/17/25 @7:48 AM Weston Rd. Wellesley
Bob and team did a great job installing a heat pump for me. Their responsiveness was great and the install only took a couple of days
