A radon system put in back in 2000 is still doing its job, according to an April 2026 Google review of Camilo Environmental Group, an Andover radon and water-quality company. The reviewer moved into the house a dozen years after Joseph installed the radon mitigation system; they have swapped the fan a couple of times, and the readings now average 0.6 pCi/L in the basement, 0.3 on the first floor and 0.4 upstairs, against 10.0+ before the system went in. In a September 2023 review, a customer with radon issues found Joe Camilo easy to reach and schedule. The pipe in the attic was not easily accessible, so he arranged access with the builder, completed the radon mitigation, and followed up to make sure the fan was working and the readings were no longer dangerous. Earlier that month, another customer wrote that Joe solved their drinking water problem and recommended him for water filtration. A February 2025 reviewer who phoned the company about its services said Joseph gave honest advice and helped them out. The company's own site says it believes everyone deserves safe, healthy air and clean drinking water. On Google it holds 5 stars from 6 ratings. In an August 2026 Reddit thread in r/newtonma, a commenter linked the company's services page but was not sure whether it does remediation or only testing.

Joseph installed a radon mitigation system in my house in the year 2000! I moved in a dozen years later. The system is still working! I've swapped out the fan a couple of times but my basement annually averages out to 0.6, 1st floor 0.3, and upstairs 0.4 pCi/L. It was 10.0+ prior to the system. Not bad! I just looked him up and was happy to see he's still in business. I never met him but his work stood the test of time.
I called to ask about their services. Joseph gave me honest advice and helped us out.

It was a privilege and an honor to do business with Joe Camilo from Camilo Environmental Group. He was easily to get in touch with and schedule an appointment for my Radon issues. Even though the pipe in the Attic wasn't easily accessible he organized with the builder to get access. Joe went above and beyond in order to provide excellent service and complete the Radon mitigation in a timely manner. Not only did he do an amazing job he also followed up to make sure that the fan was working correctly and that the Radon readings were no longer dangerous. I can now say that me and my family can "literally" breathe a sigh of relief!
I was very satisfied with Joe's work. He was extremely professional, efficient and effective. He solved my drinking water problem! I'd recommend Joe for any water filtration need.
