Ocelli's Contractor describes itself on its BBB profile as specializing in remodeling, and a recent customer, a realtor, hired Ed Ocelli to build an addition on their home in Dedham. That customer wrote that Ed handled subcontractors and permits, that timelines were realistic and largely met, and that the crew cleaned up at the end of each day. When small delays occurred, the same customer said, Ed communicated promptly and proposed solutions. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 212387, is active on the state registry, with Edward Ocelli as the holder of record. Its BBB grade is A+, and it shows 5 stars on Google from 20 ratings. The company says it has 12 years in business. A recent customer had Ed and his crew do a gut rehab of an "ancient bathroom" and said the job finished on time, at a good price, with everything cleaned up. One recent customer listed new shed doors, re-venting a bathroom through the roof, painting and refinishing several areas including the basement, and repairing cabinets among the items Ed and his crew tackled, and wrote that "the price was extremely reasonable." In a 2026 review, a customer said Edward and his crew did their kitchen — floors, ceilings, stove, tile on the walls, counters, cabinets and new lighting — and that it came in exactly on budget on the day he said they would be done. A recent customer described a house renovation and wrote that the company offered ideas to improve the design. In a 2023 review, a customer who signed as Marc wrote that the original contractors had used indoor wood for outdoor framing and that there was rotten wood all over the exterior; Ed and his crew replaced the rotten parts, reframed the windows and repainted the entire house a new shade of blue. A 2023 customer who started with a Nextdoor post asking for painter recommendations hired Edward for the whole inside of a first home — bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, hallway, foyer and sunroom. That 2023 customer said Edward worked with Junior for 6 full days, showed up exactly on time on the first day, and kept the doors shut so their two cats would not escape. A 2023 customer had the entire exterior and several interior rooms painted and called the prices very reasonable. In a 2023 review, a customer said Edward took their old, outdated kitchen in hand, that the epoxy was a budget-friendly way of getting a new countertop look, and that he sanded down and painted all their 20-year-old trim. A 2023 customer had a new shower installed, along with a new tiled floor and shower door, and said it was easy to coordinate the job with a painter for the finish work.
Ed and his team at Ocelli’s Construction were wonderful. They did a great job and we’re very happy with their work! Highly recommended.
Ed and his crew are awesome. They tackled a list of items including installing new shed doors, re-venting a bathroom through the roof, painting and refinishing several areas including the basement, repairing cabinets and more. They are efficient, professional, knowledgeable and very, very good at what they do! The price was extremely reasonable and we will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone.
Thorough implementation of my house renovation. Provides excellent ideas to improve the design.
I hired Ed Ocelli to build an addition on my home in Dedham, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From our first conversation he was professional, clear, and easy to reach — he took the time to listen to my goals, explain options, and answer questions without ever pressuring me. Communication throughout the project was consistent: I always knew what would happen next, when crews would be on site, and how any decisions would affect cost and schedule. Ed and his team demonstrated excellent attention to detail. They respected the plans I approved, offered sensible suggestions when unforeseen issues arose, and made sure finishes were done right the first time. The workmanship was top-notch — framing, trim, and finishes all looked professional and durable. The crew kept the work area organized and made a point of cleaning up at the end of each day, which made living through a renovation much less stressful. Project management was another strong point. Timelines were realistic and largely met; when small delays occurred Ed communicated promptly and proposed solutions instead of leaving me guessing. He handled subcontractors and permits efficiently, which saved me time and hassle. As a realtor, I judge contractors by their reliability, craftsmanship, and how well they treat clients — Ed scored highly on all three. I recommend him without reservation to my clients and anyone else considering an addition or major renovation. If you choose Edward and his team, expect clear communication, professional workmanship, and a finished product you’ll be proud to show prospective buyers or enjoy for years to come.

He was easy to reach, and prompt with responding to questions. If you want a good contractor, hire Ed Ocelli.
