The tell with Capizzi Home Improvement is how often the same homeowners come back. One customer counted three major projects — two additions and a bathroom renovation — before writing in April 2026; another, in a 2022 review, listed four jobs including a garage conversion, two bathrooms, a roof and gutters; a Thumbtack reviewer in 2024 said they had just finished their tenth project with the company. That is the shape of this Cotuit outfit: a full-service Cape Cod remodeler people keep going back to, not a one-job call. The work customers describe runs wide — whole kitchens, additions, finished basements, bathrooms, windows, siding and roofs — and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active in the state registry. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade and accreditation. The platform numbers line up: 4.2 from 47 Google ratings and 4.2 from 41 on HomeAdvisor. Houzz sits at 3.0, but from only two reviews. Project managers get named a lot here, which is unusual. Recent Google reviewers credit Gary and Doug for holding their hands through a 2026 job, and Roland Gonzales for a Falmouth kitchen with new living-room built-ins and lower-level storage cabinets finished in May 2026. A homeowner whose roof began leaking in spring 2026 described a phased approach — a quick fix first, then an inexpensive patch, then re-roofing only that section once the cheaper attempts failed. In a 2025 review, a Mashpee basement came in on time and on budget with the company returning to check the work, and a 2023 reviewer said a 20-year warranty on a 19-year-old bank of six windows was honored. The other side is recent. Two reviewers in March and April 2026 rated one star. One said the design phase produced beautiful concepts but the execution and workmanship were poor, and that structural problems went unresolved. The other said a new roof left a leak through a vent pipe, put the resulting damage at $130,000, and said the company would not accept any responsibility. Money is the other running theme: a 2018 Angi reviewer said you pay a large premium and much of the work is pushed to third-party contractors, and a 2022 Houzz reviewer who had spent over $100,000 across five or six projects said several thousand dollars of billing was never itemized. A 2015 HomeAdvisor reviewer was disappointed with the carpentry on a bathroom, while rating the plumbing and electrical work well. The right call for a large, designed remodel where a coordinated crew and a named project manager matter — that is where the happiest reviewers are. Before signing, pin down the roofing scope and warranty terms in writing, ask what gets subcontracted, and agree on an itemized change-order process up front; the complaints cluster in exactly those places.

What an awesome crew I had that worked on my home! Everything was timely and perfectly done! I would highly recommend Capizzi to anyone needing a contractor!
Communication was excellent and the quality of the work was great. Everything was always cleaned up at the end of each day. Very prompt at responding to questions or issues.
A great experience from start to finish. Gary and Doug were wonderful to work with! My initial consultation with Doug put me at ease and confident that choosing Capizzi was the right choice. When Gary took over as the Project Manager he was very communicative and held my hand the entire process, keeping me updated and always giving me educated advice - which I am so thankful for! I would recommend Doug and Gary to anyone and will always choose them for all my home improvement projects!
I recently completed a renovation on my Falmouth house with Capizzi Home Improvement. My experience with them, led by the project manager, Roland Gonzales, was excellent from beginning to end. I had my whole kitchen renovated, new built-ins made in the living room and large storage cabinets built in my lower level. The project ran smoothly, on time and the communication on progress throughout the job, was excellent! I can't say enough good things about this company. I will be using them again on future projects.
Repair of leaking roof and interior water damage, done well, on time, at agreed cost. I had good experience with Capizzi twice before, so when my roof started leaking, I gave them a call. The project consultant developed a phased approach: first a quick and easy fix, then an inexpensive small patch, only re-roofing that part of my house when the first two didn't stop the leak. The production manager scheduled the jobs and checked to see that the work had been done well. The tradesmen did good work quietly, kept the area clean, started and finished on time. I would call Capizzi again!
