A November 2024 review from the director of the Lourdes Center in Kenmore Square, a Marist priest, describes bricks and masonry falling from one part of his building's northeast wall and an inspection calling for reconstruction. A month later a Roman Catholic religious order wrote that structural repairs on one of its buildings came in on time and on budget, and that this was not the first time it had used the company. That is the work Romeo Cardona's Worcester-area outfit gets called for: the parts of a building that hold it up.
Homeowners describe the same thing. In March 2024 a customer whose basement flooded after every rainstorm said Cardona's team was the one that found the cause, restructured a damaged section of foundation and added a French drain. An August 2024 customer had internal structural work done in an old house and noted crews that cleaned up at the end of each day. A November 2024 customer part-way through an addition credited Romeo's transparency and his advice before and during the work. In December 2025 a review described the complete reconstruction of a badly water-damaged mobile-home bathroom, and in October 2025 a repeat customer, back for work on an outdoor deck, called the pricing honest and fair and the scheduling smooth.
It does not all run that way. In September 2023 a Google reviewer wrote that they waited months for the job to start and that he then walked away with their money. An October 2022 Angi reviewer alleged incomplete and substandard work on a two-family remodel, cost overruns and licensing concerns — that reviewer's allegations, not established facts. And a 2022 Google review states that a Cardona Builders home improvement registration, number 202641, had been suspended by the state's Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation office under docket 2022-303.
What the state shows now: Massachusetts lists construction supervisor licence CS-116030, held by Romeo Cardona, as active, and home improvement contractor registration 212322, held by Cardona Builders LLC, as active. The BBB page carries an A+. Google averages 4.5 across 26 ratings, while Angi and HomeAdvisor both show 3.9 from 11.
For structural work — a foundation, a load-bearing repair, an addition, a wall that has to be rebuilt — this is a contractor whose 2024 and 2025 customers describe that exact kind of job going right, and the company says Romeo oversees projects himself. Put the current registration number on the written contract, tie the payment schedule to completed stages rather than calendar dates, and ask him directly about the 2022 registration matter before you sign.

Bricks and masonry had fallen from one part of the wall and an inspection showed the need for a reconstruction of that area but also other areas where water damage had also compromised the structure. The needed work was organized well and thoroughly done. The structural engineer's report regarding the work needed and his recommendations were carefully followed. The workers were professional in their work and well supervised by Mr. Cardona. Mr. Cardona informed the Marist order and me regularly about the progress of the work. I was very pleased that all that was necessary was done without any delays. After the scaffolding was removed, the whole area was thoroughly cleared and cleaned. The wall looks very good now and is now well protected from the elements. I highly recommend Mr. Cardona and his company to anyone who needs any necessary work to be done.
